In spite of the polite conversation, I don’t trust Mamdani a fucking bit. I hope Trump knows what he’s doing.
Because good news doesn’t sell, there were surely some long faces in American newsrooms Friday afternoon.
The expected — and even hoped for — explosion between President Trump and New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani turned out to be a festival of mutual admiration.
Given the grim forecast, it was as shocking as if cats and dogs decided to make a love story.
Most important for New Yorkers of all stripes, there was very real substance to the friendly vibes and pledges of cooperation.
The president was so pleased with their initial 45-minute private meeting that he withdrew his previous threat to slash federal funding for Gotham because of Mamdani’s election and promised instead to help the city.
“I expect to be helping him, not hurting him,” Trump said as Mamdani stood beside him in the Oval Office, with the president sitting behind his glorious desk.
Afterward, Trump said he withdrew his plan to send the National Guard to NYC, then amended that by saying he would send them if needed.
Just hours before the meeting, 86 Dems actually voted with House Republicans on a resolution to denounce the horrors of socialism.
During the meeting, a reporter asked Mamdani if he still thought Trump was a “fascist”:

Trump and Mamdani engaged in a friendly discussion where the president appeared optimistic that they would work together on critical issues for New York. When Mamdani fielded a question on whether he believes Trump is a “fascist,” the president ran cover for Mamdani by saying he is welcome to believe it.
“[The New York Post’s Steven Nelson] asked about your comment calling the president a fascist, and your answer was, ‘both President Trump and I have been clear about our positions and our views.’ Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?” Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich asked.
As Mamdani began to answer, Trump said, “That’s okay, you can just say yes. Okay. That’s easier. It’s easier than explaining it, I don’t mind.”
Mamdani still claims Trump is a “fascist”, but he says can ‘still work with him’.

“Why are people on the right surprised that President Trump can be vicious to people but also nice to them? Was he supposed to start throwing punches at Mamdani?
Some years back, he let RFK Jr. fly on his private jet while RFK was literally in court suing him.
His current Vice President was his biggest hater at one point.
Trump has always been cordial with his enemies. That trait has made him a successful businessman & a unique statesman.”
That was a swell assessment of Mamdani’s White House visit on Friday. Others say Trump is trying to make the mayor-elect of New York the face of the Democrat Party. Considering how well Bernie Sanders did in the 2016 and 2020 presidential races, maybe Mamdani already is.

Mamdani is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and a self-described “muslim lefty”, but his agenda screams jihad as well as socialism.
Mamdani’s agenda:
“Muslims belong in city hall”.
He wants to spend $65M on tranny medical treatment — including for minors.
He wants to create government-run grocery stores. Yeah, that worked out real well in the Soviet Union.
He’s pro-PLO and Hamas.
He supported a terrorist who killed Jewish students in a super market.
He wrote a rap song about his love for Hamas. How cute.
He defended the mowing down and beheading of a British Soldier by two muzzie terrorists on a London street.
Mamdani really hates the Jews. At college, he co-founded the school’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, a group that envisions Israel’s overthrow.
He also claimed he was black on his college application.
His wife mourned the death of Palestinian influencer Saleh al-Jafarawi, who celebrated Oct. 7 attacks.
Mamdani’s background, his Islamofascist rhetoric, his connections to radical Islamic extremists, and his avowed intentions, are a matter of public record.
He’s a slick little crapweasel who appeals to radical muzzies and a generation of ‘resisters’ adorned with nose rings and multi colored hair.
NYC has already reached rock bottom and it’s still digging.
