In exchange for donations to his 1996 campaign, Bubba Clinton gave the Chinese classified information which helped them and North Korea improve their ballistic missile technology. No one arrested that traitorous fuck.
From Fox News.
A U.S. defense official told Fox News Saturday that a U.S. Navy Lieutenant commander assigned to a maritime reconnaissance squadron has been charged with espionage.
On Sunday, a U.S. official confirmed to Fox News that the accused Navy officer was spying for China.
Lt. Cmdr Edward C. Lin is a naval flight officer with extensive background in signals intelligence, according to the official.
The name of the accused officer was first reported by USNI on Sunday.
……the officer was arrested last summer and the investigation is still ongoing. The redacted charge sheets say the officer gave secret information “relating to the national defense to representatives of a foreign government.” However, the pages don’t specify what sort of information was provided.
……The charges suggest the officer may have been under surveillance by the U.S. Navy for a long period of time. The official said that other arrests in the case haven’t been ruled out and the FBI and Naval Criminal Investigative Service are cooperating in the investigation.
The officer is accused of three counts of attempted espionage, three counts of making false official statements and five counts of communicating defense information “to a person not entitled to receive said information.” The officer is also accused of providing a false address when he was on leave.
If found guilty of the most severe espionage charges, the officer might face the death penalty.
Death penalty? Don’t make me laugh. The death penalty hasn’t been used for high treason in the United States since the Rosenbergs.
There have been several traitors who gave highly classified information to enemies of the United States. Their malfeasance jeopardized the lives of millions of Americans, not to mention American troops deployed overseas, and severely damaged national security.
Here’s just a sampling:
- James Hall III – An Army warrant officer and intelligence analyst in Germany who sold eavesdropping and code secrets to East Germany and the Soviet Union from 1983 to 1988.
- Robert Hanssen – Arrested for spying for the Soviet Union and Russia for more than 15 of his 27 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
- Earl Edwin Pitts – An FBI agent charged with providing Top Secret documents to the Soviet Union and then Russia from 1987 until 1992.
- Harold James Nicholson – A senior-ranking Central Intelligence Agency officer arrested while attempting to take Top Secret documents out of the country. He began spying for Russia in 1994.
- George Trofimoff – A then-retired Army Reserve colonel, charged in June 2000 of spying for the KGB and the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (or SVR) for over 25 years.
- William Kampiles – A CIA clerk who sold a KH-11 spy satellite manual to the Soviet Union.
- David Henry Barnett – A CIA officer convicted of spying for the Soviet Union in 1980. He volunteered to spy in 1976.
- John Anthony Walker – A Navy Warrant Officer convicted of providing massive amounts of classified information to the USSR during his Naval career. Several members of his family were involved in his spying activities as well.
- Aldrich Ames– An American defector who was convicted of espionage against his country in 1994. He is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole in the high-security Allenwood U.S. Penitentiary. Ames was formerly a 31-year CIA counterintelligence officer and analyst who committed espionage against his country by spying for the Soviet Union and Russia.
- Glenn D. Shriver, 28, of Grand Rapids, Mich., was arrested after he sought sensitive government jobs with the intent of selling classified information to Beijing. He pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiring to provide national defense information to Chinese intelligence officers. He only got four years.
- Weapons systems policy analyst Gregg W. Bergersen, 51, of Alexandria, Va., sold classified defense information to a New Orleans furniture salesman. In return, the salesman, a Taiwan native identified as Tai Kuo, a 58-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen, forwarded the information to the Chinese government.
- Xiaoming Gao, a State Department contractor, was paid thousands by an individual thought to be a Chinese agent in exchange for information on Americans — but despite an FBI probe, former DOJ Attorney General Eric Holder refused to prosecute. Why am I not surprised.
- PFC Bradley Manning, the U.S. Army intelligence analyst who leaked millions of bits of information to WikiLeaks, was found guilty of espionage. Some of the information he leaked ended up in Osama Bin Laden’s possession. He only got 35 years.
Not one of those motherfuckers has been put to death. They’re serving life sentences at our expense.
Lin will undoubtedly serve time in Leavenworth, but he won’t be given the death penalty, which he deserves.
