Last week the Obama administration came up with a kinder, gentler way of waging war. It gave Islamic State militants a 45-minute warning that they were about to be bombed, telling them to run for their lives., according to Military.com.
Before the A-10 Thunderbolt II and AC-130 Spectre gunships released their fury on 116 oil tanker trucks, fighter jets made low passes and dropped leaflets.
This admission was made Wednesday at a press briefing held at the Pentagon.
“In Al-Bukamal, we destroyed 116 tanker trucks, which we believe will reduce ISIL’s ability to transport its stolen oil products,” Army Col. Steve Warren said in a Pentagon teleconference from Baghdad. “This is our first strike against tanker trucks, and to minimize risks to civilians, we conducted a leaflet drop prior to the strike. We did a show of force, by — we had aircraft essentially buzz the trucks at low altitude.”
The leaflets said, “Get out of your trucks now and run away from them. Warning. Airstrikes are coming, oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life.”
“We combine these leaflet drops with very low altitude passes of some of our attack aviation, which sends a very powerful message,” Warren added.
That ‘powerful message’: Under Obama, the United States military has been reduced to a fucking joke hampered by some of the worst ROE on record.
Leaflets. “Dear ISIS, run for your lives! The bombs are coming! We don’t want you to get hurt!” Gawd. No wonder the enemy laughs at us. This incompetent douchebag is an embarrassment on a world scale.
He’ll allow the transport to be hit, but the valuable oil wells that finance ISIS, and the ISIS shitbags we should be killing, not so much.

The revelations from the interview provides a clear picture of the reasons given for decisions made in the fight against ISIS.
……Morrell told Rose that Obama’s concern for environmental hazards and damage to the environment were the perceived reasons why Obama did not allow oil wells to be bombed. Stating that he’s not in the situation room any longer but in reflection on Obama policies, Morrell said, “Prior to Paris…there seemed to have been a judgement that look we don’t want to destroy these oil tankers because that’s infrastructure that’s going to be necessary to support the people when ISIS isn’t there anymore and it’s going to create environmental damage. And we didn’t go after oil wells. We didn’t actually hit any oil wells that ISIS controls because we didn’t want to do environmental damage and we didn’t want to destroy that infrastructure…
Newsflash, Morrell: The infrastructure was damaged in 2011 when Barky cut and ran from Iraq.
The weapons grade stupidity about ‘environmental damage’ is just too much. Any Army commander worth their salt would be raising hell over the bat-shit crazy notion that we should care more about oil spills in the desert than killing the enemy.
