I would have rather it been the Browns, but….
From Fox 8 News.
OAKLAND, California– The Cleveland Cavaliers have broken the Cleveland curse and won the NBA Championship, by beating the Golden State Warriors, 93-89, Sunday night.
The Cavaliers are the first NBA team ever to win an NBA title after being down 3-1. It’s the first major championship for the city of Cleveland since the Browns in 1964.
LeBron James had a triple-double, Kyrie Irving’s 3-pointer with 53 seconds left put Cleveland ahead to stay.
James was unanimously named MVP.
OAKLAND, California–Cleveland’s 52-year championship drought is over. It ended with an exciting 93-89 victory over Golden State to give the Cavaliers their first NBA title. The Cavs are also the first NBA team to rally from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals.
I’m still not completely satisfied. I won’t forget how Lebron James made a spectacle out of himself on national TV when he left for Miami. As far as I’m concerned, Kyrie Irving did as much or more than James during the entire season. We won. Great. It takes a team to win, not a self-absorbed, egotistical jackoff. “All In”? I want more championships before I’m all good.
We do have one team in the state of Ohio that is a contender and a winner, year in, year out. That’s the Ohio State Buckeye football team. If only our pros were half as good.
