A background: Cleveland Councilman Michael Polensek (11th Ward) sent a stinging rebuke to a local thug who had several run-ins with police. His mother, who’s spent more effort complaining about the consequences of her son’s behavior than raising him properly, is now being advised by the Rev. Al Sharpton, who pops up like a jack-in-the-box at the mere whiff of a racial controversy.
Upon learning of the most recent arrest of an alleged drug-dealing teen, Arsenio Winston, earlier this month, Cleveland City Councilman Michael D. Polensek sent him a scathing letter.
While the tone and contents of the letter are questionable, the underlying message the Councilman was attempting to get through to the neighborhood thug was clear and reasonable- get your act together, or you’re going to ruin your life.
In the letter, which you can view in full below, Polencek referred to Winston as a “crack dealing piece of trash” who’ll likely end up in “jail or the cemetary soon.” As claimed in the letter, this is not Winston’s first run-in with the law, although it is his first as a legal, 18-year-old adult.
Winston was busted for allegedly dealing drugs in Cleveland’s 11th Ward, which is located in the Collinwood area on the city’s east side.
Michael D. Polensek, who was born and raised in the neighborhood, has been Ward 11’s councilman since 1982, where he has shown his deep committment to the betterment of the community. Other law-abiding residents in the area likely support many of the sentiments Polensek expressed in his letter, such as “Get out of our neighborhood!”
……Arsenio Winston’s mother says that she considers the letter a threat and is consulting with lawyers.Link to the full story, and letter:
Her son is in serious trouble and she has the gall to blame the authorites. Amazing. This is what happens in a ‘it’s not my fault, it’s society’s’ culture.
Oh, and there’s an update on the little dumplin’:
An arrest warrant was issued for Arsenio Winston after he didn’t show up for court on robbery charges earlier in the week.
The U.S. Marshals caught up with him Friday night.
According to the Plain Dealer, Winston’s mother is upset over the letter, saying it’s racist.
She’s started writing letters herself, to the NAACP and the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Arsenio Winston was sentenced to two years in prison on drug trafficking charges, but could get out after six months if he behaves himself in prison.

The race card was inevitable. Her son’s skin color is the reason he’s being ‘unfairly’ targeted for his criminal activities. Yep, she’ll be on Jerry Springer in no time.
