Arab TV gets Obama’s First Interview

Well, ya gotta pander to your audience.

Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that “Americans are not your enemy.”

The interview underscored Obama’s commitment to repair relations with the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration.

Two things: They declared us the enemy years ago. The first volley fired by the Islamic culture against America was in 1979 with the taking of American hostages in Iran. Since then, the threat gained momentum and proximity: Khobar Towers, the attacks on the U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, The USS Cole, and the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center.

Saudi Arabia is not our friend. They are an active participant in the war on the West. The Wahhabis in Riyadh placate the extremist Imams and several members of the royal Saudi family finance al-Qaeda operatives in the United States, and around the world.  15 out of the 19 hijackers who carried out the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were Saudis. Osama bin Laden was born and raised in Saudi Arabia.

The United States should declare them the enemy.

Obama said the U.S. had made mistakes in the past but “that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there’s no reason why we can’t restore that.”

During his presidency, former President George W. Bush gave several interviews to Al-Arabiya but the wars he launched in Iraq and Afghanistan prompted a massive backlash against the U.S. in the Muslim world.

Obama called for a new partnership with the Muslim world “based on mutual respect and mutual interest.” He talked about growing up in Indonesia, the Muslim world’s most populous nation, and noted that he has Muslim relatives.

And what ‘mistakes’ are those, B. Hussein Obama? Fighting back against an Islamofascist enemy that wants us dead? As for ‘backlash’, given the source of the indignation I could’nt give one shit less.

Can you imagine Obama giving interviews to the Nazis, Imperialist Japanese or Fascist Italians in WWII?
I can.

“You killed 3000 people at Pearl Harbor, and unleashed a genocidal juggernaut across the continent of Europe and North Africa, but we’re not your enemy.”

If the next attack on this soil happens during THE ONE’S regime, we’ll see how he feels about the ‘enemy’ concept.
