The Australian authorities have gone full fascist. They’re even testing a “facial recognition” app to track citizens who have been forced into quarantine:
Citizens of Australia, who have already experienced the harshest quarantine policies in the western world, will be required to download an app that lets the state text them at random times, giving them 15 minutes to respond with a picture of themselves with location data to prove they are following quarantine orders.
Australia has turned back into a penal colony. The populace has had enough.
The Australian jackboots attack an elderly lady:
More than 150 people have been arrested and almost 600 fined at dozens of unauthorised anti-lockdown, “pro-choice” rallies across NSW.
Thousands of Australians around the country turned out to organised protests to call for an end to stay-at-home orders and mandatory vaccinations, including at 69 events in NSW.
Most of the NSW protests were attended by a handful of people who gathered outside local council chambers, as well as at Parliament House and Government House in Sydney.
Three police officers sustained minor injuries in altercations with protesters at Raymond Terrace in the Hunter and at Lismore and Murwillumbah in the state’s Northern Rivers.
Thousands of anti-lockdown protesters gathered in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane on Saturday, leading to hundreds of arrests. The ABC estimates another thousand attended a protest on the NSW-Queensland border on Sunday, with police arresting eight people and issuing more than 50 infringement notices.
…..a Freedom Rally has taken place in Byron Bay with anywhere between 200 and 300 people taking to the streets within the centre of town.
Protesters shouted “freedom” and held signs emblazoned with the words “Freedom from Lockdown” during the largely peaceful rally.
NSW Police made several arrests and lined up on either end of Middleton Street to contain the protest to the town’s CBD.
Under current health orders unvaccinated people from different households are only allowed to gather in groups of two for exercise while the fully vaccinated can gather in groups of up to five.
……hundreds have gathered in Victoria to stage a violent protest which has seen clashes between police and activists.
Multiple arrests have been made with Victorian police tackling protesters to the ground and using capsicum spray to disperse crowds.
Earlier in the day roadblocks and hard barricades were set up as law enforcement launched an operation which they promised would effectively shut the city down.
This shit is incredible:
Australia has now resorted to monitoring alcohol consumption and in some cases confiscating drinks in areas under strict lockdown.
Residents in apartment blocks locked-down by NSW Health are having their alcohol deliveries policed as part of a policy to limit the number of drinks being consumed each day.
Mission Australia’s Common Ground building in Camperdown is the latest building where occupants are subjected to the harsh rules.
Residents are allowed to receive a ration of one of the following: six beers or pre-mixed drinks, one bottle of wine, or one 375ml bottle of spirits.
Excess alcohol is being confiscated until lockdown rules are lifted.
Residents can consult with a clinician if they think they need more than the allowed limit.
Residents in Sydney complained authorities have often searched “care packages sent by friends and relatives” to check for violations of the order.
In what best can be described as a 3 million square mile prison, Australia is forbidding citizens from leaving the country.
Even the leftwing fringe at The Atlantic argued that “Australia traded away too much liberty”:
Australia is undoubtedly a democracy, with multiple political parties, regular elections, and the peaceful transfer of power. But if a country indefinitely forbids its own citizens from leaving its borders, strands tens of thousands of its citizens abroad, puts strict rules on intrastate travel, prohibits citizens from leaving home without an excuse from an official government list, mandates masks even when people are outdoors and socially distanced, deploys the military to enforce those rules, bans protest, and arrests and fines dissenters, is that country still a liberal democracy?
Aussies have reached their boiling point.
