Someone who claims to be a government insider—an anonymous democrat Congressman—has published a refreshingly honest essay on the disgusting hubris of America’s elected representatives. The book, titled: Confessions of Congressman X, contains the modis operandi of a typical Congressional bureaucrat and their disdain for the electorate.

A new book threatens to blow the lid off of Congress as a legislator has penned a tell-all about the worst parts of serving in the House of Representatives – saying that his main job is to raise money for re-election and that leaves little time for reading the bills he votes on.
Mill City Press, a small Minnesota-based ‘vanity press’ publisher describes ‘The Confessions of Congressman X’ as ‘a devastating inside look at the dark side of Congress as revealed by one of its own.’
‘No wonder Congressman X wants to remain anonymous for fear of retribution. His admissions are deeply disturbing.’
The 84-page exposé is due in bookstores in two weeks, and Washington is abuzz with speculation about who may have written it.
A website set up to sell the book discloses that the author is a ‘Democrat.’
Most of the excerpts that appear on the book jacket will come as little surprise to Americans who are cynical about the political process.

As infuriating as it was to hear Jonathan Gruber describe American voters as “stupid”, there’s no other explanation for a shitbag like Obama to be placed in a position to push some of the most depraved, obscene, destructive policies in our history. Too many voters are low information morons who couldn’t even pass a basic civics test. Half the time their heads are buried in their Iphones, and the other half of the time, up their asses.

……My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. That’s why fundraising takes precedence over everything. (Unfortunately) it’s so time-consuming I seldom read any bills I vote on. Like most of my colleagues, I seldom know how the legislation will be implemented, or what it’ll cost.
……We spend money we don’t have and blithely mortgage the future with a wink and a nod. Everything’s for the here and now. Screw the next generation. . .It’s all about immediate publicity, getting credit now, lookin’ good for the upcoming election.”

There’s a solution for that; term limits. That way you can focus on doing the job you were elected to do without worrying about fund raising. If we like the job you did, we will keep you in office. If not, you can be replaced.

It remains to be seen whether the author is a real Congressman or if it’s simply a statement written by a fed-up American who knows what we all do; that most politicians are corrupt, self-absorbed crapweasels with no desire to honor the Constitution or serve the people of the United States. It’s bad enough they get installed in the first place. What makes it worse is no one holds them accountable.
