U.S. Rep. Paul Broun attacked President-elect Barack Obama’s agenda as “Marxist” and derided some fellow Republicans for abandoning conservative principles during a speech in Augusta on Friday, his first since being re-elected in Georgia’s 10th District.
“In my opinion, we’ve elected a Marxist to be president of the United States,” Mr. Broun, R-Watkinsvile, said during a luncheon of the Martinez-Evans Rotary Club at the Doubletree Hotel.
……Mr. Broun qualified his remark, saying he believes Mr. Obama’s policies of bigger government and shared wealth are Marxist.

A Republican congressman from Georgia said Monday he fears that President-elect Obama will establish a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist dictatorship.
“It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he’s the one who proposed this national security force,” Rep. Paul Broun said of Obamain an interview Monday withThe Associated Press. “I’m just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may – may not, I hope not – but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism.”
Broun cited a July speech by Obama that has circulated on the Internet in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.
“That’s exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did,” Broun said. “When he’s proposing to have a national security force that’s answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he’s showing me signs of being Marxist.”
Obama’s comments about a national security force came during a speech in Colorado in which he called for expanding the nation’s foreign service.
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set,” Obama said in July. “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Unfortunately, Brounis not that far off the truth. Take into consideration the Obama campaign’s use of the legal system and law enforcement as intimidation toward critics, the strong-arm smear tactics by sympathetic media and leftwingnut bloggers, and the recent moves by Democrat officials to squelch free speech and property rights.

Obama has never clarified exactly how a ‘civilian national security force’ would function or how he plans on dispersing it throughout the country. I’m sure the Obamabot faithful who abeted his Putsch will be more than happy to don the brown shirts they’ve had hanging in their closets. What will they call themselves? Stasi? Cheka? The Little Red Guards?
A quote from the speech:
People of all ages, stations and skills will be asked to serve.
What happens if they refuse?
I am writing an esssay that details the typical behaviors of a Dictator, and while my findings are preliminary, and I have not yet finnished my research, nor presented my findings to any of the economical, psycological, or political experts that I have availible to me, I tend to find that they have have many small similarities to Obama, here is the worst thing i think I have uncovered, most of his current acctions were paved the way for by another president and several by bush.( By the way that is another sign of a dictator, they tend to have been just kind of drop into the right place at the right time and have all the right things to take advantage of) Knowing what I know obama is a much more honest man than any politician I know if he does not take somthing to the tune of too much power.
David,
First of all, I sincerely hope you are an immigrant struggling to achieve a command of the English language, which would explain your multiple grammatical errors.
However, if you were born and raised here, it speaks volumes about modern American education.
In any case, I will dissect what I think is the gist of your ‘argument’:
President Bush did not “pave the way” for the current Socialist kleptocracy. That was achieved by ACORN, brain-dead Democratic voters, and a weak Republican candidate.
Secondly, Obama has certainly taken advantage of the opportunity to inflict his Socialist tax, spend, and bailout policies. Not to mention his exclusion of Senate and Congressional opponents of his tactics. In other words, he does things like sign outrageous, bloated bailout/stimulus/omnibus bills behind closed doors. And oh by the way, he’s got a contingent of leftwing hacks (besides the MSM) who are digging up (Read: attempting to intimidate) information on any and all critics.
Too late…and he’s a liar.
