D.C. McAllister on the Violent MoveOn Protests at Trump Rallies

Friday night, protestors from the progressive activist organization MoveOn.org invaded a Donald Trump campaign rally in Chicago and shut down free speech. This is what the Left does. We shouldn’t be surprised, and we should put the blame for the violence where it truly belongs.

MoveOn.org issued a notice in response to the postponement of Trump’s rally:

“Mr. Trump and the Republican leaders who support him and his hate-filled rhetoric should be on notice after tonight’s events. These protests are a direct result of the violence that has occurred at Trump rallies and that has been encouraged by Trump himself from the stage. Our country is better than the shameful, dangerous, and bigoted rhetoric that has been the hallmark of the Trump campaign. To all of those who took to the streets of Chicago, we say thank you for standing up and saying enough is enough. To Donald Trump, and the GOP, we say, welcome to the general election. Trump and those who peddle hate and incite violence have no place in our politics and most certainly do not belong in the White House.”

Former terrorist Bill Ayers and progressive activist joined in, praising the protestors and posting the following tweet:

He continued to tweet, casting blame for the violence on Trump’s “rhetoric and racism” and telling activists to call the Chicago Police Department and demand the immediate release of all protestors who have been jailed. Ayers also asked his followers to read Milton Mayer’s anti-fascism book “They Thought They Were Free,” linking to a summary in an effort to cast Trump in the mold of Hitler.

……Ayers and the cultural Marxists that make up the Left are working very hard to script the narrative that Trump is a dangerous fascist who must be stopped, and the best people to stand for “righteousness, truth, and freedom” are the Leftists who make up MoveOn.org, Occupy Wall Street, and Black Lives Matter.

……We’ve seen the Left do this before, taking to the streets to break up peaceful gatherings and shut down free speech, calling it racism and hateful. Yet, it is the “anti-racist” Left that proves to be the real haters, which we saw last night. They attack peaceful attendees, defy the police, dress up as Trump supporters to spread propaganda, use vile language on national television, and destroy property.

……Unfortunately, too many on the right are parroting the language of Ayers by calling Trump a fascist (a right-wing nationalist despot). Social media exploded from Republican, libertarian, and conservative corners, accusing Trump of inciting this violence with his rhetoric. Even Ted Cruz said Trump bears some burden of blame for the violent protest.

Trump isn’t the enemy. The sooner the mainstream GOP gets its head out of its ass and understands why Americans are angry and fed up, the better off this country will be.
