Dennis is another fine example of jackassery, who has never picked up a copy of the Constitution.
When asked whether al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden should have the right to remain silent and be given a lawyer, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) told CNSNews.com that everyone who is accused of a crime should have the same “basic rights” afforded by the U.S. Constitution..
On Capitol Hill on Nov. 19, CNSNews.com asked Kucinich, “If and when the U.S. captures Osama Bin Laden, should he have the right to remain silent and be given a lawyer–told he can get a lawyer?”
Kucinich said: “I think that America does best when the values that we want other nations to share that we profess and stand by, and I think that every one who is accused of a crime should have the basic rights that are afforded. I mean, that’s what America’s about.”
Other nations, particularly Islamic nation-states and their terrorist myrmidons don’t share in the same basic rights afforded by our citizens. In other words, if Dennis were caught breaking Sharia Law in say, Saudi Arabia or Iran, the probability of those countries sharing what ‘we profess and stand by’ is about as likely as him understanding what it is that we actually profess and stand by.
“We can’t have one set of rules there and another set of rules there,” said Kucinich. “America is one set of rules. We abide by the Constitution, and I think that Constitution is our protection now and in the future.

This is coming from a party of politicians who violate the Constitution with government takeovers of private industry, and plan on doing the same with government-controlled health care.
Dennis needs to take a gander at U.S. Constitution, Article 1 – The Legislative Branch
Section 8 – Powers of Congress, which deals with violators of international laws; especially these two sentences:
To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;
To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
It doesn’t say a damned thing about reading them their rights or trying them in a civilian court.

Islamic terrorists are not entitled to the rights afforded to American citizens under the U.S. Constitution. The trouble is, none of the Democrats have bothered to read it.
These Democrats that occupy our government are some of the most incredibly stupid, scatterbrained politicians to ever hold office. The people from my home state of Ohio who keep voting this assclown back into the Senate are just as intellectually bankrupt.
