The lengths to which Obama, Hillary, and the upper echelon at the CIA will go to cover their asses….

In his opening statement during highly anticipated testimony Wednesday on Benghazi, former CIA deputy director Michael Morell claimed to be an intelligence professional who was willing to lay out the facts — no matter how damaging.
“I take very seriously the allegations about how the CIA in general and about how I in particular handled the analysis and the talking points,” Morell told the House Intelligence Committee, in his first public testimony on the Benghazi attacks. “The ethical code under which intelligence officers carry out their responsibilities calls for total objectivity.”
Which flies in the face of his asinine rationalization:
Early on, Morell made a startling claim about the so-called “talking points,” the faulty narrative that initially blamed a protest for the attack.
On the talking points, Morell said he dropped information about CIA security warnings — which were factual and accurate — because he thought it would be unprofessional to embarrass then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
This raised eyebrows, considering those warnings had alerted others that security conditions were rapidly deteriorating in eastern Libya. The warnings were not acted on, and four Americans, including ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed in the 2012 attack.
“You take out everything that is even related to warnings and a bunch of other stuff too,” Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, said. “To me it seems like you are more interested in protecting the State Department than the State Department is, and more interested in protecting the FBI than the FBI.”
……In the process of defending himself, Morell also contradicted administration statements immediately after the attack that no one knew who was behind it. Morell further discredited a highly touted December New York Times piece that “turned up no evidence that al Qaeda or other international terrorist groups had any role in the assault.”
What a crapweasel.
Former CIA Director General David Petreaus testified that not only did the CIA know it was an Al Qaeda-led attack, but so did the White House, which censored the hell out of the press releases.
The CIA abetted the Obama regime with its manufactured talking points, and ignored its own station chief in Libya when he told his superiors that no protests occurred before the attack.
Morell claimed that he wasn’t influenced by Obama or Hillary. Other than that, he’s at a loss to explain why the truth was buried under a shitpile of lies.
The sources who were on the ground offer a different take.
……The account has many close to this investigation fuming. One operator watching the hearing told Fox News: “He doesn’t have any idea what happened that night. Why is he speculating? He wouldn’t have to speculate if he talked to the people in Libya that night, or others who were watching.”
Another said Morell either still has no idea what happened that night, or he is covering for someone. “Human intelligence takes precedence over everything else and he had no better intelligence than multiple reports from credible sources coming from the ground that night,” one operator said.
……Multiple sources have said they could have responded sooner, while others still feel their requests to respond were ignored, and they haven’t been given a reason why. “People aren’t going to forget, people in our community are dealing with this … on a daily basis and their lives are still at risk,” one contractor said.
……Morell said he did not take out Al Qaeda from talking points, and that a group of “officers” from another CIA department did.
But one intelligence expert with close knowledge of the attack questioned those claims. “To pretend he was deferring to analytical judgment is not true,” the source said. “He changed analytical judgment. … Heck, that’s in the Senate Intelligence Report.”
Since retiring from the CIA, Morell has become a commentator for CBS News and a counselor at Beacon Global Strategies. Great. He’s using his expertise in scatology for the liberal media and a strategic security advisory firm. CBS probably loves his schtick, and hopefully, BGS isn’t expecting too much in the way of truthful analysis.
The truth behind Benghazi:
Obama denied outright an urgent request to send more security to the embassy. He lied about what he knew, and his flying monkeys tried to squelch Fox News investigative reporting surrounding the attack.
Here’s a link to a video of Fox News reporter Bret Baier reading (at about 06:45 into the video) the emails from Ambassador Stevens to the State Department, one of which is just 4 hours prior to the attack. Each one was a desperate plea for more security in the face of growing terrorist violence in the area.
Oh, and by the way, some SpecOps did make it to Benghazi, further eroding all the lies Hillary and Obama told about ‘no time or resources’ to send for help.
The blame, accountability, and responsibility rests squarely on Obama and Hillary, who showed nothing but depraved indifference from the first sign of trouble to the horrible aftermath.
But don’t embarrass Obama and the State Department. That would be ‘unprofessional’.
