*Sob* Dem Rep. Jim Moran Wants You to Know That Congress is “Underpaid”

A background on Moran:  He’s a mentally unstable douchebag and contemptible fuckstick who openly disrespects the military, and insults black Republicans.

A retiring Democratic congressman from Virginia says federal lawmakers don’t make enough money to get by in both Washington and back home.

“I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid,” Rep. James P. Moran told CQ Roll Call.

“I understand that it’s widely felt that they underperform, but the fact is that this is the board of directors for the largest economic entity in the world.”

Moran told the publication that some lawmakers live out of their offices while in the nation’s capital, or in “small little apartment units” that make it hard to spend time with their families.

A Republican-led appropriations bill introduced this week would retain a freeze on lawmakers’ salaries that has been in place since 2010, but Moran said state legislatures provide a per diem allowance and that the federal government should do the same, according to Roll Call.

Moran said his mission “is wholly quixotic” and will not pass, but Roll Call says he may bring it up on the House floor to garner attention.
Members of Congress are paid $174,000 per year.

WAAAAAAAAAAAH! He makes a six-figure salary and has to live in a little apartment away from his family.

Cry me a goddamned Potomac, you jerk.

American troops spend months away from their families in harm’s way, eating MREs, sleeping whenever and wherever they can, in some very harsh environments. Their salary is about equal to your lunch tab, you asshole. STFU.

The Dems have  a track record of installing assclowns like Moran.

Working class taxpayers are just ATMs for out of control pork barrel spending.  Gawd knows if they don’t dig deeper into our pockets, they may starve.

Remember, they “don’t work for the little people”.

Trey Gowdy (R-SC) responds:

“I would be embarrassed to say that given our job performance and our salary, that we are anything other than grossly overcompensated.”

Even if Congress were doing a good job, “public service means you give something up, you get compensation in other ways.” As an example, he noted that members get the benefit “of being a part of history.”
