Army officials say the suspect, “the lone shooter” for this tragic incident, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, is currently on a ventilator at a nearby civilian hospital and the police officer who gunned him down, Kimberly Munley, a civilian Fort Hood police officer, is in stable condition.

Mighty Mouse is out of the hospital – and again ready to save the day.
The hero cop who halted the Fort Hood massacre described for the first time Wednesday the “confusing and chaotic” day.
Sgt. Kimberly Munley said she was washing her patrol car when she got word of the shooting.
“As soon as I got out of my vehicle and ran up the hill was when things got pretty bad,” she said Wednesday on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Accused shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was in the midst of his rampage that killed 13 when Munley leaped into action. She exchanged fire with Hasan.
“When I got shot, it felt like a muscle being torn out of my leg,” the brave officer said. She suffered three gunshot wounds – in both thighs and a knuckle.
As Hasan fell, Sgt. Mark Todd ran to the gunman and kicked his gun away and slapped on the cuffs.
“I never lost consciousness,” said Munley, who stands just over 5 feet tall and whose nickname is Mighty Mouse. “I wanted to stay awake and know everything that was going on.”
The 34-year-old had two surgeries in the hospital, where one of her visitors was Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Munley said she is optimistic, but admits it will be a slow process to get back to her normal life.
Things are getting better day by day,” she said. “Emotionally, I’m just hoping that the rest of the officers and the injured and the families of the deceased are healing as well.”
She credits her quick thinking and strong actions to her years of training.
“The training does take over,” she said. “In that particular incident, we didn’t have much time to think.”
The mother of two boys ages 2 and 12 is eager to get back to work.
“I know it’s going to be a slow process to get back to my normal life, but I know that I can accomplish it and get back to what I do and love to do on a daily basis.”
Meanwhile, NPR News reported Wednesday that officials at Walter Reed Army Medical Center discussed for a year whether Hasan was psychotic and fit to be an Army shrink.
“Put it this way: Everybody felt that if you were deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, you would not want Nidal Hasan in your fox hole,” one official told NPR.
Key officers met to discuss Hasan beginning in spring 2008, the source said.
The sources told NPR students and faculty were deeply troubled by Hasan’s behavior – which they variously called disconnected, aloof, paranoid, belligerent and “schizoid.”
Kudos to Sgt. Munley. HOOAH!

Six months ago, the FBI investigated Hasan for statements purportedly made by him on the Scibd website that equated suicide bombers with a US Soldier who sacrificed himself to save his fellow Soldiers:
“He inentionally [sic] took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his Soldier. To say that this Soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its [sic] more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled [sic] this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy Soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy Soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees [sic] in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i [sic] you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam.

KILLEEN – Twelve people are confirmed dead and more than 30 have been wounded in a mass shooting at a soldier processing center on the military installation of Fort Hood, Texas.
The shootings occurred shortly after 1:30pm Central Time at Fort Hood’s Soldier Readiness Center, where troops deploy and arrive from other military installations, including those based in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Officials with Fort Hood confirm three people have been identified as those responsible for the shootings. One gunman, idenitified has Major Nidal Malik Hasan, was fatally shot by law enforcement officials on-scene. Hasan, reported from the Associated Press as a mental health professional, was found with two handguns.
Two other suspects were apprehended and have not been identified. All three suspects have been confirmed as active duty members of the United States military.

President Punchdrunk was at a conference sponsored by the Department of the Interior in honor of Native American Indians.
First, he paid tribute to his cabinet and senior administration officials, and gave a “shout out” to Dr. Joe Medicine Crow whom Obama said was a “Congressional Medal of Honor” winner. First of all, military Awards and Decorations are received, not “won”, you assclown.
And secondly, Crow was awarded the Congressional Medal of Freedom, which is a civilian award, not the award given to military personnel for courageous battlefield actions above and beyond the call of duty. BIG DIFFERENCE. Maybe he misread the TOTUS. Then he droned on about them having an “extremely productive conference”…and giving his “solemn guarantee that this is not the end of a process, but the beginning of the process” and that “we are going to follow up….every single member of my team understands that this is a top priority for us…this is not something that we just give lip service to…and we are going to keep on working with you to make sure that the first Americans get the best possible chance in life…blah…blah…blah…”

Fox News interviewed COL. Terry Lee, US ARMY (RET), who worked with Hasan. He revealed that Hasan had started to make outlandish comments concerning our foreign policy and claimed that ‘muslims had the right to rise up and attack Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan’. COL. Lee stated that six months ago during a conference, Hasan made comments that ‘we shouldn’t be over there’, and ‘maybe the muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor’.
COL Lee recounted Hasan’s reaction to the murder of Army Pvt. William Andrew Long by an Islamic terrorist in Little Rock, as ‘quite happy’. Hasan remarked that ‘this is what muslims should do’, that ‘they should stand up to the aggressor’, that ‘there should be more of these’, and made references to homicide bombers. He also described Hasan’s agitation with Obama not fulfilling his promise to ‘pull the troops out’.
I look forward to this piece of shit getting a cell on death row right next to Hasan Akbar, who killed Army CPT. Christopher Scott Seifert, an S2 Officer in one of our 101st Airborne brigades, and wounded 15 others.
This is clearly an act of terrorism by a radical muslim jihadist, who had no business being in the U.S. Army, let alone the country.
