Army officials say the suspect, “the lone shooter” for this tragic incident, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, is currently on a ventilator at a nearby civilian hospital and the police officer who gunned him down, Kimberly Munley, a civilian Fort Hood police officer, is in stable condition.

The hero cop who ended the bloody rampage at Fort Hood by pumping four bullets into the crazed gunman even though she was wounded is known for her toughness, friends say.
Before relocating to Texas, civilian police Sgt. Kimberly Munley spent about five years as a cop in North Carolina where she forged a reputation as a no-nonsense officer.
“I’d like to say I’m surprised, but I’m really not,” said close friend Drew Peterson, 27.
“She was born and bred to be a police officer. If you were ever to be in a fight, she’d be the first person to stand up next to you and back you up. She’s a tough cookie.”
Munley’s toughness and grace under pressure were on display Thursday when she and her partner responded within three minutes of reported gunfire, said Army Lt. Gen. Bob Cone.
Munley, who had been trained in active-response tactics, rushed into the building and confronted the shooter as he was turning a corner, Cone said.
“It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer,” Cone said.
Munley was only a few feet from Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan when she opened fire.
Wounded in the exchange of bullets, the 34-year-old Munley was reported in stable condition at a local hospital.

Six months ago, the FBI investigated Hasan for statements purportedly made by him on the Scibd website that equated suicide bombers with a US Soldier who sacrificed himself to save his fellow Soldiers:
“He inentionally [sic] took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his Soldier. To say that this Soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its [sic] more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled [sic] this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy Soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy Soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees [sic] in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i [sic] you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam.

KILLEEN – Twelve people are confirmed dead and more than 30 have been wounded in a mass shooting at a soldier processing center on the military installation of Fort Hood, Texas.
The shootings occurred shortly after 1:30pm Central Time at Fort Hood’s Soldier Readiness Center, where troops deploy and arrive from other military installations, including those based in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Officials with Fort Hood confirm three people have been identified as those responsible for the shootings. One gunman, idenitified has Major Nidal Malik Hasan, was fatally shot by law enforcement officials on-scene. Hasan, reported from the Associated Press as a mental health professional, was found with two handguns.
Two other suspects were apprehended and have not been identified. All three suspects have been confirmed as active duty members of the United States military.

First, he paid tribute to his cabinet and senior administration officials, and gave a “shout out” to Dr. Joe Medicine Crow whom Obama said was a “Congressional Medal of Honor” winner. First of all, military Awards and Decorations are received, not “won”, you assclown.
And secondly, Crow was awarded the Congressional Medal of Freedom, which is a civilian award, not the award given to military personnel for courageous battlefield actions above and beyond the call of duty. BIG DIFFERENCE. Maybe he misread the TOTUS. Then he droned on about them having an “extremely productive conference”…and giving his “solemn guarantee that this is not the end of a process, but the beginning of the process” and that “we are going to follow up….every single member of my team understands that this is a top priority for us…this is not something that we just give lip service to…and we are going to keep on working with you to make sure that the first Americans get the best possible chance in life…blah…blah…blah…”

Fox News interviewed COL. Terry Lee, US ARMY (RET), who worked with Hasan. He revealed that Hasan had started to make outlandish comments concerning our foreign policy and claimed that ‘muslims had the right to rise up and attack Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan’. COL. Lee stated that six months ago during a conference, Hasan made comments that ‘we shouldn’t be over there’, and ‘maybe the muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor’.
COL Lee recounted Hasan’s reaction to the murder of Army Pvt. William Andrew Long by an Islamic terrorist in Little Rock, as ‘quite happy’. Hasan remarked that ‘this is what muslims should do’, that ‘they should stand up to the aggressor’, that ‘there should be more of these’, and made references to homicide bombers. He also described Hasan’s agitation with Obama not fulfilling his promise to ‘pull the troops out’.
I look forward to this piece of shit getting a cell on death row right next to Hasan Akbar, who killed Army CPT. Christopher Scott Seifert, an S2 Officer in one of our 101st Airborne brigades, and wounded 15 others.
This is clearly an act of terrorism by a radical muslim jihadist, who had no business being in the U.S. Army, let alone the country.
