Another ‘man-caused’ atrocity.

As a defender of the nation’s borders, Obama is a hell of a pool player.
The president enjoyed a game at a bar in Denver with Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper the other day, without the noir atmosphere of his furtive visits to pool halls with his grandfather as a kid, when he felt “the enticement of darkness and the click of the cue ball, and the jukebox flashing its red and green lights.”
Obama’s game the other day was bright and cheery, as one would expect of a president who didn’t have any depressing visits to frightened ranchers, overwhelmed border agents or desperate migrants on his future itinerary.
The first rule in a crisis for any executive is put on his windbreaker and boots and get out on the ground. President George W. Bush didn’t do it soon enough after Hurricane Katrina and, politically, could never make up for it, no matter how many times he visited New Orleans subsequently.
Obama’s bizarre resistance to visiting the border on his fundraising swing out West fueled talk of the influx as Obama’s “Katrina moment.”
The Katrina analogy is both over the top and too generous.
It is over the top because the border influx isn’t a deadly catastrophe swallowing an American city. It is too generous because Bush didn’t do anything to bring on Hurricane Katrina, whereas Obama’s policies are responsible for the influx of (illegal) immigrants from the border. It is, in the argot of his administration, a “man-caused disaster.”
……The White House brushes off criticism that Obama is avoiding the border as mere “optics,” in contrast to its highly substantive focus. But it’s still not taking the crisis seriously.
Newsflash: He’s doing this shit ON PURPOSE.
Some border-state Democrats have joined the criticism.
……Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Tex.) ….. added that he has been surprised by the anger he has heard toward the immigrants from many of his El Paso constituents, who “feel like we can’t take care of everyone, and these children and their families are gaming the system.”
……When the president made a fundraising swing through Texas without going to the scene of the crisis, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Tex.) complained on MSNBC: “He can’t even go 242 miles to the Texas border? Border community leaders want to see him down there on the border. And I think the optics and the substance of it is that he should show up at the border.”
Well asshole, if you Dems hadn’t been so busy kissing up to La Raza, MEChA and the rest of the illegal alien cabal, instead of working on ways to secure the border and get rid of the illegals infecting this country, none of us would have to worry about this ‘crisis’.
The Border Agents who are tasked with trying to patrol and monitor our gaping border, have been transformed into baby sitters and paper-pushers.
MS-13 thugs are using the border as a recruiting tool:
The infamous gang Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, is reportedly taking advantage of the immigration crisis along the U.S. border.
“They’re now using the Nogales processing center as a recruitment hub for new members to come in,” Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich reported Friday. “They’re trying to recruit other teenage boys that are sharing cells with them and they’re using the phones that the Red Cross has set up. They’re supposed to be using those to call back home or to call family members in the United States. They’re also using those as a way to communicate with gang members already in U.S. cities.”
……A U.S. Border Patrol agent contacted National Review in June about gang members who are allowed into the country, saying “If he’s a confirmed gang member in his own country, why are we letting him in here? … I’ve heard people come in and say, ‘You’re going to let me go, just like you let my mother go, just like you let my sister go. You’re going to let me go as well, and the government’s going to take care of us.”
……members of the El Salvadorian gang were scheduled for placement somewhere in the United States.
She said ,Immigration and Customs Enforcement policy has been to release illegal immigrants with a notice to appear at a future court date.
Wanna bet the vermin won’t appear?
Obama won’t take his ass down to the border because it will be in-his-face proof of just how fucked up his amnesty policy really is.
