I once received an e-mail from a friend of mine accusing me (and this blog) of being ‘over the top’.
I asked what her reaction was to Obama’s socialist policies and those he attracts and associates with, but she was at a loss for an answer.
Anyway, during the campaign and subsequent election of THE ONE, I couldn’t help noticing a lot of ‘over the top’ behavior:

And they certainly didn’t hold back during the inauguration. ABC’s Bill Weir couldn’t contain his man-crush:

From above, even the seagulls must have been awed by the blanket of humanity…”
Neither could David Muir:
“So many of the streets are closed those that are open are clogged. But there were no car horns, no shouting. Instead, the San Francisco Boys and Girls choruses practicing for their Inaugural moment on the steps of the Capitol.”
Andrea Mitchell even snuck in a swipe at “white faces” in honor of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Obama:
“And because of Barack Obama it’s no longer a sea of white faces. Celebrities, civil rights heroes and millions more drawn by the desire to witness history, to celebrate and preserve the memories. People, as far as the eye can see, not a patch of green all the way to the Washington Monument. I’m agnostic, but I seem to recall a biblical reference to a being called the ‘anti-Christ’ who has the same charismatic following.
With all of the idol worship out there, it’s hard to tell who’s really ‘over the top’.
