Under the proposed law, any taxpayer who wrote “Rangel Rule” on their return when paying back taxes would be immune from penalties and interest.
Fantastic. As long as we can get the same breaks as Charles Rangel and the newly appointed tax-cheating Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, I’ll sign any fucking ‘rule’ name required.
While Congress is at it, they may want to consider a “Freinds of Angelo” (Mozillo) legislation for mortgage holders. I no longer have Countrywide as my mortgage company but hell, I’d like the same kind of deal Chris Dodd got, anyway.
It would seen that the Hero of Barsoom has taken residence in the U. S. House of Representatives. Is there any hope he can sway the swooning princesses from Main and/or the “maverick ” from Arizona to the right side of morality?
(ETA: With apologies to Edgar Rice burrows and to his chronicles of Mars.)
