Sen. Tom Coburn’s Message To Dems – “Be Prepared To Defend Selling Your Vote In The House”

Hat Tip to TownHall.

“I want to send a couple of messages to my colleagues in the House.
If you voted no, and you vote yes, and you lose your election, and you think any nomination to a federal post isn’t going to be held up in the Senate, I’ve got news for you. It’s going to be held.

Number two is, if you get a parochial deal for you or your district, I’ve already instructed my staff that we will look at every appropriations bill, and we will associate that with the buying of your vote. I want to tell you that your deal isn’t going to happen.

And be prepared to defend selling your vote.”

The rest of the GOP should follow Coburn’s example and put the “yes” voters under the gun. Anyone who supports a government-mandated seizure of health care choices is contributing to the destruction of our country’s economy as well as our individual rights.  ALL of them will be held accountable.

    1. Butt,

Are there any good incumbents? That’s a tough question to answer. I’ve got a couple of favorites. Rep Pete King, (R – NY) is one. Can’t think of very many off the top of my head. I agree with cleaning house, but no matter who you elect to take the last one’s place, there’s always a risk.
