Squalling Jackass Sheila Jackson Lee Wants to Impose Criminal Penalties for ‘Hate Speech’

Must be tough being a black leftist named after two confederate generals.

Texas Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee introduced a bill to combat “White supremacy” by criminalizing certain forms of hate speech.

After the ill-fated attempt by the Biden administration to monitor Americans’ speech online, Jackson Lee introduced the Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023 to assign criminal punishment for certain forms of hate speech.

The bill’s language is broad and could result in people facing criminal charges for sharing hateful content, including on social media.

Under Jackson Lee’s bill, a “person engages in a white supremacy inspired hate crime when white supremacy ideology has motivated the planning, development, preparation, or perpetration of actions that constituted a crime or were undertaken in furtherance of activity that, if effectuated, would have constituted a crime.”

The bill would impose criminal penalties for anyone who “published material advancing white supremacy, white supremacist ideology, antagonism based on ‘replacement theory,’ or hate speech that vilifies or is otherwise directed against any non-White person or group, and such published material,” if it was “read, heard, or viewed by a person who engaged in the planning, development, preparation, or perpetration of a white supremacy inspired hate crime.”

……Jackson Lee’s bill is highly unlikely to pass in the GOP-controlled chamber, making it more of a messaging tool than anything else.

Currently, the bill has no cosponsors.

In 2010, she teamed up with WV Dem Jay Rockefeller to express their hope that the FCC would censor the news as they saw fit.

They don’t like having their opinions, actions, and voting habits questioned by the unwashed masses. Cable provides access to a wide spectrum of information and debate. The liberal media cabal had control over the mainstream media, including major U.S. newspapers, for decades.  The advent of internet blogging along with cable news has provided a counterpoint to the ultra-liberal spiel, and provides a platform for direct confrontation with the MSM and the leftwing’s tactic of molding opinion to suit their agenda.

Jackson Lee is a study in psychotic behavior and demagoguery.

She  stole a woman’s airplane seat and threw the race card when the woman objected.

She established her presence in 1998 three years into her tenure, when she declared:  “You don’t understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen.”

She threw the race card into the debate over the nation’s debt.

She told sane people who refuse to be mask Karens, that they face a “destiny of death”.

She thinks the US Constitution s 400 years old. She’s never read the document, so she really wouldn’t know.

Sheila Jackson Lee, the intellectual giant, brought you such gems as, “All racial groups should be represented“ when naming hurricanes.

At a town hall meeting, she rudely ignored a cancer survivor’s question and gabbed on her cell phone.  During the same meeting, she called on a woman—Roxana Mayer—who claimed to be a doctor, but was actually a graduate student in social work and an Obama delegate.

More of the shrew’s  batshit crazy behavior:

During a 1997 visit to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, Jackson Lee, who was then serving on the House Science Committee and on the Subcommittee that oversees U.S. space policy, asked a guide whether the Mars Pathfinder would be able to show an image of “the flag the astronauts planted there before.” When it was subsequently pointed out that the flag to which she was referring was in fact the one that Neil Armstrong had planted on the Moon—not Mars—in 1969, Jackson Lee complained that she was being mocked by bigots. “You thought you could have fun with a black woman member of the Science Committee,” her then-chief-of-staff wrote angrily in a letter to the editor.

In July 2010, Jackson Lee spoke at an NAACP meeting where she derided the Tea Party movement as a racist phenomenon, saying: “All those who wore [Klansman] sheets a long time ago have now lifted them off and started wearing, uh, clothing, uh, with a name, say, I am part of the Tea Party. Don’t you be fooled. Those who used to wear sheets are now being able to walk down the aisle and speak as a patriot because you will not speak loudly about the lack of integrity of this movement.”

While speaking from the House floor on March 12, 2014, Jackson Lee suggested that the U.S. Constitution (which was adopted in 1787) had been written in the early 1600s: “Maybe I should offer a good thanks to the distinguished members of the majority, the Republicans, my chairman and others, for giving us an opportunity to have a deliberative constitutional discussion that reinforces the sanctity of this nation and how well it is that we have lasted some 400 years, operating under a constitution that clearly defines what is constitutional and what is not.”

Texas should kick that unhinged scrunt to the curb, or commit her to an insane asylum.
