Wow. You know it’s bad when a member of the MSM liberal elite not only takes notice of THE ONE’s boneheaded socialist economic missteps, but questions his reactions, as well.
More from THE ONE’s 60 Minutes Interview:
……Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, which could touch off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”
His remarks came in a“60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.
“You’re sitting here. And you’re— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, ‘I mean, he’s sitting there just making jokes about money—’ How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asked at one point.
“Are you punch-drunk?” Kroft said.
“No, no. There’s gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama said, with a laugh.
Is that a rhetorical question? This dimwit is doing a socialist number on our economy that would make Karl Marx beam with pride.
The Congressional Budget Office has some news for Obama:
Obama has been hitting the hustings to sell his blueprint for the economy, which includes huge government spending on healthcare, green energy initiatives and education. But the CBO said at the weekend that Obama’s policies would cause government spending to swell above historic levels even after the costly programs to alleviate the recession and shore up the financial system have ended. The result, the CBO said, was that by 2019 the US national debt would be about 82 per cent of GDP – about double where it is today.

Corporate failures (including the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac ones created by Democrats) are being rescued with billions of dollars in taxpayer funds, and he’s just put a plan into effect that will purchase private banks to the tune of $1 trillion, which will NATIONALIZE them. Not good. Even the wealthy LIBERALS are starting to sit up and pay attention to the “I think you make too much money” approach to their earned income.
And what an epiphany he’s had on Iraq:
“He said Afghanistan is a more complex problem than Iraq. “Iraq was actually easier than Afghanistan. It’s easier terrain,” Obama told Kroft. “You’ve got a– much better educated population, infrastructure to build off of. You don’t have some of the same destabilizing border– issues that you have between Afghanistan and Pakistan. And so this is going to be a tough nut to crack. But– it is not acceptable for us to simply sit back and let safe havens of terrorists plan and plot.”
He spent years trashing our efforts in Iraq, echoing Harry Reid’s “the war is lost” mantra, but now he not only admits that Iraq has a differerent battlefield terrain than Afghanistan, but that it’s ‘easier’?
What a fucking foreign policy genius.
For all those who haven’t yet become disillusioned with their Obamessiah: Look at all of the gaffes, boneheaded ‘diplomatic’ moves, and policies he’s inflicted, not even 100 days into this fiasco.
He’s even managed to piss off France, not known for being pro-American to begin with.
……Barack Obama has indirectly praised former French president Jacques Chirac’s fierce opposition to the US-led invasion of Iraq, the online edition of the daily Le Figaro reported on Thursday.
In a letter described by Chirac as ‘very nice,’ Obama wrote, ‘I am certain that we will be able to work together, in the coming four years, in a spirit of peace and friendship to build a safer world.’
The use of the word ‘peace’ was taken to be an indirect reference to Chirac’s stance against the US intervention in Iraq, which Obama had also opposed as senator.
The current President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, is understandibly a bit upset at THE ONE’s snub.
Obama’s dis of the French president is probably because Sarkozy nailed Obama on his foreign policy naivete:
French President Nicolas Sarkozy is very critical of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama’s positions on Iran, according to reports that have reached Israel’s government.
Sarkozy has made his criticisms only in closed forums in France. But according to a senior Israeli government source, the reports reaching Israel indicate that Sarkozy views the Democratic candidate’s stance on Iran as “utterly immature” and comprised of “formulations empty of all content.”
Obama visited Paris in July, and the Iranian issue was at the heart of his meeting with Sarkozy. At a joint press conference afterward, Obama urged Iran to accept the West’s proposal on its nuclear program, saying that Iran was creating a serious situation that endangered both Israel and the West.
And ain’t this a real kick in the ass?:
Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez said on Sunday his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama was at best an “ignoramus” for saying the socialist leader exported terrorism and obstructed progress in Latin America.
“He goes and accuses me of exporting terrorism: the least I can say is that he’s a poor ignoramus; he should read and study a little to understand reality,” said Chavez, who heads a group of left-wing Latin American leaders opposed to the U.S. influence in the region.

Could it be the luster is wearing off THE ONE’s aura?
Isn’t that what you liberals voted for? Isn’t this what you wanted?
How’s the “change” working out for ya?
Way to go Obama. You give DVDs (which are not compatible with Euro DVD players) to Gordon Brown as a ‘diplomatic gift’. You kiss Iran’s ass with a plea for a “new beginning”, and they don’t seem too enthusiastic. The socialist Eurotrash are giving us lectures that Obama’s economic policies are well, too socialist.
And this imbecile sits there and guffaws like a hyena on laughing gas. More proof that this empty suit is in way over his head.
Laugh clown, laugh.
Gawd, we are in for a rough four years…if he makes it that far.
