There is some “extreme” name calling going on in Washington, and this time, it is Tea Partiers who are calling top democrats like Senators Charles Schumer and Harry Reid “extreme.”
Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips tells Fox News, “I think radical and extreme is driving the country into bankruptcy which is what the democrats want to do… You want to talk about radical and extreme, talk about Harry Reid. That is radical and extreme. His kind of spending.”
Phillips has an ally in Tea Party backed freshman Bill Huizenga, R-Mich. Congressman Huizenga, a member of the House Financial Services Committee, says GOP leaders can take the heat Tea Party republicans like him are bringing to the budget debate.
On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Reid again accused the Republican leadership in the House of being “afraid” of the Tea Party. Reid insists the power of the Tea Party is skewed on Capitol Hill. “The Tea Party is not looked at very strongly around the country. The only attention they get is in the House of Representatives,” Reid told CBS.
Uh, Newsflash, Harry. The Tea Party is the main reason you Dems got your asses kicked in the mid-term elections, in case you forgot. Denial ain’t a river in Egypt.
……Meanwhile Schumer, speaking on ABC’s “This Week,” stands by his claim that the Tea Party is preventing a budget compromise. He went on to say, yet again, “The American people are seeing the Tea Party for what it is — extreme.”
Have you seen what the Left has been up to, Schumer? Death threats, assaults, calls for violence, harassment, intimidation; all courtesy of your extremist union pals, leftwingnut constituents, and media hacks.
……Judson counters, “We are expressing the outrage of the American people. You know, the American people have spoken overwhelmingly and continue to speak out that this kind of spending that congress is pushing is just absolutely insane. We cannot afford it any more.”

Anyone listening – with common sense being their only agenda – can see that there are nutjobs on both sides of the spectrum and demonizing the other’s idiots only makes you more of a fool.
Both sides have America as their interests. They both live here, are subject to its laws and its fate. No one is trying to bankrupt America on a whim. Take a moment to realize that just because someone doesn’t agree with you and doesn’t see the problem the same way you do doesn’t make them unamerican, unpatriotic, or stupid. It makes them another individual capable of rational, reasonable, independent thought; nutjobs excluded of course.

If the Dems have America’s interests at heart, they’ll quit spending us into economic oblivion, take our national security seriously by dropping the PC bullshit, and stop treating constitution-supporting patriots with despicable behavior. Obama’s idiotic determination to drive us even further into economic oblivion, has to be stopped. Our debt is $14 trillion and growing. The nation’s debt now equals the TOTAL U.S. GDP. I’ve witnessed more nutjobs on the Left, especially in the last few years, that would make the Bolsheviks pale in comparison. Most of them are in the Democratic party. Pay close attention to their words and deeds. Watch as the leading Dem lawmakers make excuses for union thugs and call Tea Party supporters “nazis, rednecks”, and a variety of other colorful epithets. We are FED UP with the big government intrusions, the entitlement culture that sucks off of the public teat, and the arrogance and tyranny of a Dem oligarcy that rammed through ObamaCare against the will and consent of the American people. That’s why they got shellacked in the mid-term elections.
