Why start a business and hire people? Well here is an introductory list of those things that help you focus on your goals:

    Start here: http://www.dol.gov/compliance/

Today, there are over 180 different areas of compliance regulations and Laws including (but not limited to) the following general areas:

    -o- Workplace Poster Requirements

-o- EPA Environmental Test Methods and Guidelines
-o- State-by-State EPA Environmental Test Methods and Guidelines
-o- Regulations for Maintaining Environmental Compliance Monitoring
-o- Recording EPA Compliance Issues for the ECHO Database

…and on and on and effing on ad nauseum….

At the Federal level there are almost 100,000 separate regulations and rules that can be violated resulting in penalties. Some of these regulations are used by private individuals to bring fallacious lawsuits against small businesses where a business is nickel-ed and dimed $10,000 to $20,000 a pop and can lose over $100,000 fighting each and every allegation. Data as recent as 2005 showed that businesses were expending almost $9,000 per year per employee for federal compliance in companies of less than 20 employees. Today, it is astronomically higher than that.

At this point, you have not begun to do what you intended to focus on in your business. Obama has done everything possible to make sure that nobody will have their own business.
