He wants a sex change to fit his alter ego “Chelsea”:
Bradley Manning, the Army private sentenced to military prison for leaking classified documents, revealed he intends to live out the remainder of his life as a woman.
“I am Chelsea Manning. I am female,” the Army private wrote in a statement read on TODAY Thursday. “Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition.”
Manning, 25, was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Wednesday after having been found guilty of 20 charges ranging from espionage to theft for leaking more than 700,000 documents to the WikiLeaks website while working in Iraq in 2010.
The Army refuses to play along with his circus:
Pvt. Bradley E. Manning, the soldier convicted of the biggest leak of classified documents in history, will serve his sentence as a man, not as the woman he now claims to be, Army spokesman George Wright told The Washington Times Thursday.
He noted that the Army provides no sex-change surgery or hormone therapy but said Manning will have access to psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.
“The Army does not provide hormone therapy or sex-reassignment surgery for gender-identity disorder,” he said.
After Manning’s announcement, the assclowns at the New York Times went scrambling to check their “stylebooks” for guidance on how to refer to the freak formerly known as Bradley.
Manning also issued a tear-soaked statement, explaining his views on “humanity”, “innocent civilians”, GITMO, comparing “the Trail of Tears, the Dred Scott decision, McCarthyism, and the Japanese-American internment camps” to our post 9/11 actions, and quoting leftwingnut Howard Zinn, to boot.
He finishes by saying that he never meant to hurt anyone and he only wanted to help people. Well, isn’t that sweet.
Manning is full of shit. He gave WikiLeaks over 700,000 battlefield reports and diplomatic cables. Any intel Analyst knows that if the enemy receives classified material that reveals collection methods, sources, and operational details, it can and will harm the troops and damage national security. Some of those documents were found in the possession of Bin Laden after the SEAL raid.
He didn’t leak classified documents for any noble purpose, he did it because he’s a fucking problem child who was ‘disgusted’ with his commanders and U.S. ”society at large”.
Gawd only knows how many missions and Soldiers’ lives were compromised because of Manning’s malfeasance.
He should be taken out and shot.
