Vanity Fair Writer Submits Draft Article for Obama’s Approval Before Publication

It’s official, the media caters to Obama.

From the Weekly Standard.

Vanity Fair writer Michael Lewis agreed to allow the White House to approve the quotations he used from President Barack Obama in his story about the president in this month’s magazine.

“Like other journalists who write about Washington and presidential politics, Mr. Lewis said that he had to submit to the widespread but rarely disclosed practice of quote approval,” reports the New York Times.

“During a discussion at Lincoln Center on Monday night with Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair, Mr. Lewis volunteered to the audience that as a condition of cooperating with his story, the White House insisted on signing off on the quotes that would appear.

Mr. Lewis said that ultimately the White House disallowed very little of what he asked to use. And he described having  access to the president that was unusually unfettered. About 95 percent of what he witnessed was on the record, he said.”

He “had to submit quote approval”? Is he fucking serious? Too bad Republican presidents don’t get the same courtesy.

Obama once sent an email to an MSNBC ‘Morning Joe’ broadcast, on the air, and demanded a correction of a particular comment involving an exchange between Obama and ABC’s Jake Tapper.  ‘Morning Joe’s’ response: “Yes, Dear Leader”.

Remember JournoList? It was a leftwing journalists’ email club who conspired to promote a pro-Obama agenda. After they and their group were discovered, they quickly disbanded.

Media Matters, a leftwing organization run by mentally unstable David Brock, was exposéd by Tucker Carlson from the Daily Caller.  Tucker’s investigative series revealed (surprise) a collusion between Media Matters and the Obama White House.

If anyone isn’t convinced that the leftwing media is still in the tank for Obama, you haven’t paid attention.
