WTF?? The DNI Based Accusation of ‘Election Hacking’ on Russian Television Shows and Interviews From 2012

I’m no fan of Russia, the Kremlin, or neo-Soviet Vladimir Putin, but trying to pin the blame on the Russians for Hillary’s defeat is pretty fucking pathetic, especially for the likes of James  Clapper who committed perjury before Congress when he insisted that the NSA ‘does not collect any type of data’ on millions of Americans. We’ll be rid of him pretty soon. He submitted his resignation effective 20 January.

The following are excerpts from the declassified DNI report titled “Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections”.

The reasoning behind their assessment is so skewed to the left, they may as well be part of the DemProg campaign wing.

We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election.  Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency.  We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump.  We have high confidence in these judgments.
We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him.  All three agencies agree with this judgment.  CIA and FBI have high confidence in this judgment; NSA has moderate confidence.
Moscow’s approach evolved over the course of the campaign based on Russia’s understanding of the electoral prospects of the two main candidates.  When it appeared to Moscow that Secretary Clinton was likely to win the election, the Russian influence campaign began to focus more on undermining her future presidency.

First of all, Hillary Clinton’s “future presidency” was undermined by her own lying, despicable behavior, and criminal tendencies.

Moscow’s influence campaign followed a Russian messaging strategy that blends covert intelligence operations—such as cyber activity—with overt efforts by Russian Government agencies, state-funded media, third-party intermediaries, and paid social media users or “trolls.”

That’s funny, because the DemProgs and their supporters pull the same shit on Facebook, Twitter, and various comment threads all over the internet.

We assess with high confidence that Russian military intelligence (General Staff Main Intelligence Directorate or GRU) used the Guccifer 2.0 persona and DCLeaks.com to release US victim data obtained in cyber operations publicly and in exclusives to media outlets and relayed material to WikiLeaks.

The information related to the Podesta and Clinton emails weren’t hacked, they were leaked. WikiLeaks stated unequivocally that the leaked emails were provided by a DEM insider:

Former British ambassador Craig Murray said he has met the person who handed over the e-mails and they WERE from the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

The e-mails were released by Mr Assange’s site and caused damage to Hillary Clinton’s reputation with a number of shock revelations among tens of thousands of e-mails.

Speaking to The Guardian, Mr Murray said: “I know who leaked them.

“I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.

“As Julian Assange has made crystal clear, the leaks did not come from the Russians. As I have explained countless times, they are not hacks, they are insider leaks – there is a major difference between the two.”

More from the DNI assessment:

Russian intelligence obtained and maintained access to elements of multiple US state or local electoral boards.  DHS assesses that the types of systems Russian actors targeted or compromised were not involved in vote tallying.

Clapper testified on Capitol Hill that there is no evidence that the Russians had any influence on the outcome of the election.  Ya fucking think?  The Russians had no influence whatsoever on voting machines or the actions of individual voters.

Hillary’s corruption, and the flood of leaked emails from WikiLeaks, which showcased the vulgar bigotry and dismissive arrogance of Podesta, the DNC, Hillary, Hillary’s aides, and the lapdog media, were the catalyst that convinced even undecided voters to reject her. DNC staffers made anti-Semitic, misogynistic, racist, homophobic and sexist comments, and they rigged the primaries in Hillary’s favor.

The DNI can’t seem to muster any assessment about that.

This, apparently, is the crunchy nougat in the center of the DNI’s craptastic  analysis: A couple of 2012 Russian television shows—‘Breaking the Set’ and ‘Truthseeker’ —that went off the air before the 2016 election:

Former CIA analyst Larry C. Johnson branded the newly declassified US intelligence report “as a farce and a charade”, adding Russian attempts to discredit the Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton were unnecessary because “she was quite effective at it herself”.

Said Johnson:

“What happened to the other 13 members of the so-called Intelligence Community?

“For example, what about the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research? They are a key part of the analytical portion of the Intelligence Community and have actual Russian experts. And why was the Defense Intelligence Agency excluded?

“One of the supposed bad Russian actors in this hacking fiasco is the GRU, the Russian military version of the CIA. That is a prime target that DIA analysts follow. They are the experts. But they apparently were not given the chance to concur (or maybe they declined to do so out of embarrassment over the amateur quality of the work).”

The DNC started the ‘hacking’ orchestrations in April of 2016.   Three months later, Hillary made the same claims.

The biggest ‘influence campaign’ can be attributed to every conservative blogger, pundit, commentator, activist, PAC,  organization,  and concerned voter that worked diligently to make sure that scrunt never made it back into the White House.

Russia’s aggression and hostility— re-arming and building up weapons stockpiles to levels not seen since the Berlin Wall fell, establishing a foothold in the Middle East, and constructing a massive military base  300 miles from the U.S. mainland—is the kind of shit the DNI needs to assess, not harebrained allegations.
