Annual March of Illegals

Where in the hell is the ICE? Are they hiding? Everytime the illegals come out from under their rocks to perform their yearly ‘take to the streets’ crap, the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement pukes look the other way. They should be ambushing these assholes, loading them on planes, and flying them back to Mexico.

Thousands of chanting, flag-waving activists rallied in cities across the country Thursday, attempting to reinvigorate calls for immigration reform in a presidential election year in which the economy has taken center stage.

From Washington to Miami to Los Angeles, activists demanded citizenship opportunities for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. and an end to raids and deportations.

”We come here to fight for legalization. We’re people. We have rights,” said Eric Molina, an undocumented factory worker who immigrated to Zion, Ill., from Mexico.

Newsflash, vato: Entry into this country is a privilege, not a right.
You are NOT legal. You DO NOT have the same rights guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution afforded to American citizens.

……Turnout has fallen sharply since the first nationwide rallies in 2006, when more than 1 million people — at least 400,000 in Chicago alone — clogged streets and brought downtown traffic to a standstill. Activists say this year’s efforts are focused less on protests and more on voter registration and setting an agenda for the next president.

Some said participation likely was lower because many immigrants increasingly fear deportation.

Margot Veranes, a volunteer organizer in Tucson, Ariz., — where 12,000 took to the streets last year but early estimates Thursday put the crowd at about 500 — blamed the turnout on aggressive enforcement by Border Patrol and police.

That means at least in some quarters, law enforcement is doing its job.

…..”We’re marching to end the raids and the deportations, but we’re also marching for health care and education and good jobs,” she said.

Wrong. The United States does not owe you health care, education, or jobs at taxpayers expense.

……A crowd of about 1,000 gathered on the steps of the Oregon Capitol in Salem to call for changes in immigration and workplace laws within the first 100 days of the next congressional session. Many demanded that Oregon reverse a decision, imposed by the Legislature in February, to require proof of legal residence to get a driver’s license.

Must really suck when you have to actually prove you’re here legally.

But when my German/Irish/Scots ancestors got here, they didn’t get any preferentail accomodations. They took the time and effort to actually become American citizens, not some kind of a foreign liaison living on this soil.

Immigrants, illegal and otherwise, don’t live in the country they left behind. They live and work here. We are a predominately English speaking nation, with American values like patriotism; a concept which is virtually ignored, denigrated, or suppressed by illegal immigrant “activists”.

How many immigrants have been in this country for years, and haven’t even tried to learn English? In case anyone missed it, our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Federal, States, and local laws are written in English.

The United States is no longer a melting pot, but a land that is rapidly becoming Balkanized. Illegals have no intention of paying taxes, adopting American traditions, or becoming citizens. They have established their own colonies on this soil; refusing to assimilate. They’ve been suckling off the teat of American welfare so long, they think it’s an entitlement.

They want all the benefits, but none of the responsibilities. They want free healthcare, education, and welfare. All we have to do is pay for it.

Senate and Congress are not listening. They don’t live in our neighborhoods.  If we could build a border wall as thick as their heads or the buffer they place between themselves and constituents, there would be no illegal immigration problem. 

This is the United States of America, not the United States of Mexico. We do not have to tailor our laws to fit the human garbage that keeps sneaking across the border. Title 8 of the US Code stipulates the punishment for illegals and those who hire them.
Obeying laws kinda puts a kabosh on the touchy-feely aspect of knee-jerk activism, and gawd knows we musn’t make them feel bad or experience any ‘suffering’.

The late Texas congresswoman Barbara Jordan–a liberal black Democrat and respected immigration authority– noted that credibility in immigration policy rests on three simple principles:
“People who should get in, get in; people who should not enter are kept out; and people who are deportable should be required to leave.”

The anger of American citizens can no longer be ignored by the ICE, or our elected officials. We are fed up with illegals. We are tired of the increase in crime, the strain on health care, the burden on the economy, and the abuse of the welfare system.  The illegal immigration pimps might derive some sort of smug satisfaction from providing them their freedoms and benefits at our expense, but the rest of us are sick of footing the bill for an entire class of derelicts who come here with nothing more than a list of demands.

Memo to the ICE and the Government: Do your jobs.
