This is why people from hostile foreign countries should be vetted.
On March 24, ICE apprehended Ming Xi Zhang in Newark, New Jersey – a Chinese national convicted in 2021 for acting as a Chinese government agent. The arrest of Zhang marks one of ICE’s top priorities in its enforcement actions: national security threats.
Zhang legally entered the U.S. in June 2000 through Los Angeles International Airport, but, according to ICE, violated the terms of his visa. One media outlet reports that Zhang moved to the U.S. when the Chinese economy declined. He first worked at the Jersey Shore before opening his own restaurant, Ya Ya Noodles, in Skillman, New Jersey, just north of Princeton.
Zhang pleaded guilty on May 26, 2021, to having served as an agent of China in 2016 without notifying the U.S. Attorney General. He thus violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938, which, as the Department of Justice explains, requires registration with the department of those engaged in “political” and related activities on behalf of a “foreign principal,” such as a foreign power. The goal of the legislation, passed right before the Second World War, was to ensure that those working and lobbying on behalf of other countries on U.S. soil do so transparently.
Following his 2021 plea agreement – during which he agreed that he could be subject to removal – Zhang was released on $150,000 bail. On April 29, 2024, a federal judge sentenced him to three years of probation and a $10,000 fine.
The exact nature of Zhang’s activities as an agent of communist China is unclear because the record is (so far) sealed. However, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Newark Field Office Director John Tsoukaris emphasized that “[a]ny illegal alien conducting activities related to espionage, sabotage, or export control against the United States is subject to deportation.”
Adding further mystery and intrigue to the matter is a comment by Jackson Walker of Fox News, who pointed out that “[t]he arrest follows a warning from the Department of Homeland Security last month that China may be able to spy on the United States through cameras with a connection to the internet. This may allow China to disrupt critical infrastructure.”
The arrest and imminent removal of Zhang is a positive development, but he may be only the tip of the iceberg in terms of national security concerns posed by China. During the Biden administration, illegal immigration from China grew massively, with over 159,000 encounters between fiscal years 2021 and 2024.
Similar arrests of Chinese nationals have taken place in recent years. In March 2024, a Chinese illegal alien was arrested after driving onto a Marine Corps base in Twentynine Palms, CA, without presenting identification or responding to the guards’ commands. In other “gate-crasher” incidents during the past few years, illegal aliens from China were caught attempting to breach sensitive sites such as military bases or critical infrastructure installations, often responding with seemingly heavily rehearsed and scripted excuses when challenged.
Was Zhang involved in similar espionage? We will not know for sure until all the details are released. Given the continued and persistent threat of espionage emanating from communist China and other rival nations, the deportation of foreign nationals who fail to register as foreign agents serves American national security and interests.
The Chinese have engaged in cyber attacks, spying, economic espionage, and actual threatening of U.S. Naval vessels.
China builds artificial islands and militarizes them.

China’s military buildup is accelerating. American companies who do business with China help fund the military buildup. In turn, China arms North Korea and Iran.
The government and American businesses are treating Beijing like a business partner. These traitors think giving them money, technology, and contributing to the Chinese threat are good ideas.
Propping up a communist totalitarian regime with capitalist dollars is suicidal. China is an enemy and should be treated as such instead of having the privilege of being a business associate. Doing business with a communist country will not transform it into a freedom-nurturing society.
A senior Chinese officer declared that China should ‘topple U.S. dominance’. Whether China can actually pull this off is a matter of great debate, but the fact that they have their claws sunk so deeply into us economically should be a wake-up call.
They’re also buying land right next to US military bases.
The former WH occupant, corrupt addlebrained Joe Biden, allowed a ChiCom spy balloon to traverse a path across the country, collecting intel, before he gave the order to shoot it down.
The ChiComs should not be allowed in this country in any way shape or form. They don’t have to resort to subversive methods to get secrets anymore. The fucking military is handing it to them on a silver platter.
It’s time to bring this shit to a halt.
