Democratic Senators believe amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants is the “civil rights issue of our time,” declared Sen. Dick Durbin, just before he voted January 22 to end the 2018 budget filibuster.
Durbin spoke just before the vote began, saying:
“So many of you cast a vote that was very hard and very difficult because you believed — as I did — that the issue of immigration, the issue of dreamers, is the civil rights issue of our time. You stuck your necks out and said ‘I’m willing to go on record even if it is going to be hard to explain back home,’ but I will never forget that.”
Durbin’s promotion of illegal immigrants above African-Americans and other Americans spotlights the party’s decision that Americans’ deficits in wealth, job opportunities, and education are subordinate to the party’s strategy of allying with business to import foreign voters via the nation’s mass-immigration laws.
Durbin’s focus on helping illegals has diverted his attention from his own African-American constituents in his home state of Illinois, where an unending flow of cheap immigrant labor keeps blacks in peripheral, poor, and crime-plagued areas.
The Dems were all for enforcing the immigration laws until they became political tools.
They’re illegals, regardless of what politically-inspired label they assign. They pour in and commit more crimes after they get here. They shouldn’t be here in the first place. We have laws, but the DemProg-created “sanctuary cities” keep breaking them.
Illegals have been receiving benefits like food stamps, welfare, free education, tax credits, medical care, and housing for years. Enough.
Since there are so many La Raza sycophants out there who think it’s perfectly okay for illegals to enter the country in direct violation of U.S. Code Title 8, and there’s no problem with them destroying or squatting on private property, I have a proposition to make.
I’ll bring over some friends and relatives to your place, and camp out in your yard. We’ll use your toilet, shower, and laundry, and raid your refrigerator when we get hungry. We’ll plop our asses down in your living room (I hope you have some recliners) to watch your cable T.V.
If one of us gets injured or sick, you can take us to the nearest hospital and bill your insurance for any treatment we need. Make sure you pick us up when we need to come “home”.
Some of my relatives with large families will drop off their children for you to babysit, feed, and clothe. You can also register them for school and pay for their lunches, since illegals can sponge off the educational system without paying for it.
Don’t like the idea of uninvited guests? Go ahead and complain or try to evict us. We’ll sue for civil rights we aren’t entitled to, and we’ll probably win since the Democrats are so open to our demands.
By the way, I’m sure you won’t mind paying higher taxes to finance our American dream.
These illegal squatters do not have the same rights and privileges meant for citizens.
The U.S. has the right to control who enters the country. There is no Constitutional or legal right for a foreigner to enter the U.S. It’s a privilege. Every country has immigration laws, travel laws, and borders.
Pregnant illegal alien females will often cross the border and drop “anchor babies” to further violate the immigration and citizenship laws. HR 1868 the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009 was introduced to stop them, but as of this date, no action has been taken.
I like how Dwight Eisenhower handled the illegal alien problem; a military-directed operation with a no-nonsense approach to kicking out and keeping out illegal aliens. Round them up, send them home.
