Obama’s pick for U.N. Ambassador, Susan Rice, is well known for towing the party line, covering for his gaffes, and clarifying his statements with ‘I know you think you understood what he said, but what he said wasn’t what you heard’ spin. A fine example was when she insisted that Obama never pledged to meet unconditionally with Iran or any other “rogue” state, despite what he said during the YouTube debate.
Once, however, she let the truth slip with this gem:
On MSNBC’s “Tucker” yesterday, one of Sen. Barack Obama’s top foreign policy aides, former assistant secretary of state for African Affairs Susan Rice, said of Clinton’s 3 am phone call TV ad, “Clinton hasn’t had to answer the phone at three o’clock in the morning and yet she attacked Barack Obama for not being ready. They’re both not ready to have that 3 am phone call.”
