Obama Holdovers Stripped Pentagon Analyst of Security Clearance for Questioning Government Contracts with Stefan Halper, the FBI Hack Who Spied on the Trump Presidential Campaign (UPDATED)

It was all a set up.

Adam Lovinger, a former Defense Department analyst, never expected that what he stumbled on during his final months at the Pentagon would expose an integral player in the FBI’s handling of President Donald Trump’s campaign and alleged Russia collusion.

Lovinger, a whistleblower, is now battling to save his career. The Pentagon suspended his top-secret security clearance May 1, 2017, when he exposed through an internal review that Stefan Halper, who was then an emeritus Cambridge professor, had received roughly $1 million in tax-payer funded money to write Defense Department foreign policy reports, his attorney Sean Bigley said. Before Lovinger’s clearance was suspended he had taken a detail to the National Security Council as senior director for strategy. He was only there for five months before he was recalled to the Pentagon, stripped of his prestigious White House detail, and ordered to perform bureaucratic make-work in a Pentagon annex Bigley calls “the land of misfit toys.” His security clearance was eventually revoked in March 2018, despite the Pentagon “refusing to turn over a single page of its purported evidence of Lovinger’s wrongdoing,” Bigley stated. Conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch, recently filed a federal lawsuit against the Defense Department to obtain the withheld records.

Lovinger also raised concerns about Halper’s role in conducting what appeared to be diplomatic meetings with foreigners on behalf of the U.S. government because his role as contractor forbids him from doing so, according to U.S. federal law.

……Lovinger stumbled on and other documents obtained by this news site, raise troubling questions about Halper, who was believed to have worked with the CIA and part of the matrix of players in the bureau’s ‘CrossFire Hurricane’ investigation into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Halper, who assisted the FBI in the Russia investigation, appears to also have significant ties to the Russian government, as well as sources connected directly to President Vladimir Putin.

A Pentagon analyst was stripped of his security clearance by Obama holdovers after he complained of suspicious government contracts with Stefan Halper, the FBI informant who spied on the Trump presidential campaign in 2016, the Washington Times reported. The pro-Trump analyst also apparently ruffled feathers when he blew the whistle on an alleged sweetheart deal with a woman Chelsea Clinton referred to as her “best friend.”

Adam Lovinger, a senior official of the Defense Department’s Office of Net Assessment (ONA), had his security clearance yanked on May 1, 2017, and has been relegated to performing clerical chores ever since. ONA analyzes future threats and ways to defeat them.

Lovinger believes that ONA retaliated against him because he had complained to his bosses about the questionable contracts in the fall of 2016.

After his security clearance was revoked, Lovinger filed a whistleblower reprisal complaint with the Defense Department inspector general against James H. Baker, director of ONA.  The complaint also names Washington Headquarters Services, a Pentagon support agency that handled the Halper contracts, which totaled hundreds of thousands of dollars.

“It was a topic of conversation within the office,” Lovinger’s attorney, Sean M. Bigley, told the Washington Times. “What is Halper doing, and why is he being paid astronomically more than others similarly situated?”

Stefan Halper is a foreign policy expert and Cambridge professor with connections to the CIA and its British counterpart, MI6. Halper was a paid FBI “confidential human source,” whose mission in 2016 was to make contacts with Trump campaign workers while the FBI was investigating any Trump ties to Moscow. Two months before the 2016 election, he requested a meeting with George Papadopoulos and asked him a number of questions about Russia that made the junior campaign adviser suspicious. The professor also used “intelligence tradecraft” on Carter Page and at least one other Trump campaign official.

“Nobody in the office seemed to know what Halper was doing for his money,” Bigley said. “Adam said Jim Baker, the director, kept Halper’s contracts very close to the vest. And nobody seemed to have any idea what he was doing at the time. He subcontracted out a good chunk of it to other academics. He would compile them all and then collect the balance as his fee as a middleman. That was very unusual.”

The FBI may have been spying on the Trump campaign as far back as December of 2015, recently uncovered text messages revealed.

Halper set up George Papadopoulos , a low-level member of the Trump foreign policy campaign team, and arranged a phony meeting with the Australian ambassador. FBI operatives in the UK fed Papadopoulos false information that the Russians had thousands of Hillary emails, and Papadopoulos parroted the story.

More on Halper:

……someone who worked with U.S. and apparently British intelligence, with a record of trying to spy on lowly campaign workers and even trick them into compromising actions, a U.S. citizen with strong ties to British intelligence who lived in the U.K.: Stefan Halper, a former advisor to three Republican presidents (and therefore, had perfect cover), a Cambridge Fellow, who, as we detail, interacted with various Trump campaign workers ostensibly to assist them.  On November 3, 2016, he publicly stated that Hillary would be the best option for U.S.-U.K. relations.  It’s reasonable to assume, therefore, that the “help” was not for the Trump campaign, but for Hillary.

“I believe [Hillary] Clinton would be best for US-UK relations and for relations with the European Union. Clinton is well-known, deeply experienced and predictable. US-UK relations will remain steady regardless of the winner although Clinton will be less disruptive over time,” Halper, who served as deputy assistant secretary of state for political-military affairs and senior adviser to the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice, said.

The Deep State went to great lengths in an attempt to undermine the election and prevent Donald Trump from being duly elected. Having failed that, they decided they would try sedition and a fake dossier.

There’s a shit load of subversives that belong in jail. Including Obama.
