Like Jimmy Carter, B. Hussein Obama never met a despot he doesn’t like.
Hat Tip to Gateway Pundit:
In 2007 thousands of democracy activists in Burma (or Myanmar) rose up and protested against the brutal junta in control their country.
Thousands of Buddhist monks marched in the Hledan area of Rangoon back in September 2007. The monks led massive democracy protests against the violent junta. Unfortunately, the military regime cracked down on the activists killing and imprisoning several thousand men and women for demanding freedom.

This is raw footage of the execution of Japanese journalist Kenji Nagai by the Burmese junta on September 27, 2007.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfgRs-JII78&NR=1Today, Obama Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared “The US is back” in Asia as she signed a non-aggression treaty with the killer Myanmar junta.
CNS News reported:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday was to sign a non-aggression pact with a group of Southeast Asian nations, committing the United States to “renunciation of the threat or use of force” and to non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs.
Those countries include Burma, whose military junta has been targeted by U.S. sanctions since 1997, tightened in 2003, 2007 and 2008. Other parties to the pact include North Korea, whose nuclear weapons program, missile development and human rights record have been issues of concern for the U.S. for many years.
The Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC) to be signed by Clinton in Thailand includes a provision that no party shall “in any manner or form participate in any activity which shall constitute a threat to the political and economic stability, sovereignty, or territorial integrity of another.”

The AP has a habit of “forgetting” lots of things that don’t jive with its slant.
This ass-kissing is just the latest on the list of Obama’s kowtowing foreign policies.
Oh, and by the way, The Hildabeast hasn’t connected the dots between the pact, and the growing ties between North Korea and Myanmar.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that the Obama administration is concerned by the possibility that North Korea, with a history of illicit sales of missiles and nuclear technology, is developing military ties to Myanmar.
She also held out the possibility of offering North Korea a new set of incentives to return to negotiating a dismantling of its nuclear program if it showed a “willingness to take a different path.” She added that there seems little immediate chance of that.
A Clinton aide said the United States and its allies on this issue are looking for a commitment by North Korea that would irreversibly end its nuclear weapons program. The aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal U.S. government deliberations, said there is no indication that North Korea intends to make such a move, and so the U.S. focus is on enforcing U.N. sanctions.
In her remarks about a possible Myanmar-North Korea connection, Clinton did not refer explicitly to a nuclear link but made clear that the matter is disconcerting.
“We know there are also growing concerns about military cooperation between North Korea and Burma which we take very seriously,” she said when asked about it at a news conference in the Thai capital. Myanmar, also known as Burma, is run by a military regime.

Okay, let me get this straight: Obama just had Hillary sign a “non aggression” pact that includes two of the worlds most aggressive regimes, which happen to be developing military ties.
We are so screwed.
