Obama The Boy Wonder Touts His “Accomplishments”

And boy, is he proud.

Via (surprisingly) Dana Milbank at WaPo.

Seven weeks earlier to the day, the president faced harsh questions about his leadership as he took responsibility for Democrats’ loss of the House in the previous day’s election. But the man who faced reporters Tuesday afternoon in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building was treated by his questioners as a conquering colossus – and Obama didn’t mind wearing those shoes.

“A lot of folks in this town predicted that, after the midterm elections, Washington would be headed for more partisanship and more gridlock,” he said to a roomful of people who had predicted just that. “And instead, this has been a season of progress for the American people.”

He bestowed superlatives on his accomplishments:

“The most productive post-election period we’ve had in decades.”

“The most productive two years that we’ve had in generations.”

“The most significant arms-control agreement in nearly two decades.”

“The biggest upgrade of America’s food-safety laws since the Great Depression.”

“Al-Qaeda is more hunkered down than they have been since the original invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.”

More! Most! Biggest! And when he wasn’t praising his accomplishments, he was praising himself: “One thing I hope people have seen during this lame-duck, I am persistent. I am persistent. You know, if I believe in something strongly, I stay on it.”

Here’s an unvarnished look at what he’s actually “accomplished”, so far:

A downward spiraling economy: 15% unemployment (that number includes those who simply stopped looking for work), a $13 trillion debt, a trade deficit of $109 billion, an $814 billion “stimulus”, and $787 billion dollars in taxpayer funded bailouts.

Unprecedented Big Government: Unconstitutional power grabs, ramming bad socialist legislation through Congress against the will of the people, government takeovers of banks, auto industry, insurance corporations, and health care.

Making our country safer for muslim terrorists.

Getting owned by Vladimir Putin with the latest START treaty.

Creating a Food Police.

Voter fraud by his ACORN friends.

Violence by his SEIU thugs against citizens engaging in free speech.

A Department of Justice that files lawsuits against states enforcing immigration law, but refuses to prosecute Black Panthers for voter intimidation.

A Dem autocracy that spit invectives at American patriots angered over their hubris.

Yep, “Barack the magic negro” sure has accomplished a good deal just 2 years into his reign. The incoming Republican majority in Congress needs to get on the ball. Their first order of business should be to repeal, replace, and start fixing everything he and Queen Nancy dicked up since he took office.

The out-of-control spending, taxation, and earmark orgy has got to stop. The Dem-controlled government gleefully violated the Constitution and justified their behavior by saying they had the “authority” to do so. They made minced meat out of our economy by centralizing at least 43% of it; that includes 2/3rds of the auto industry and the banks and private insurance corporations they seized.

We elected the upcoming Republican majority to practice fiscal responsibility, reconstruct free market enterprise, enact more tax cuts, and ensure national security. Those should be among their accomplishments.
