Rand Paul Reams Fauci Over His Funding of the Wuhan Lab, Lying to Congress

A heated exchange erupted between Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Dr. Anthony Fauci during a Senate hearing on the pandemic. The tense moments happened during Tuesday’s Senate Health Committee hearing on Capitol Hill.

Paul asserted Fauci lied to congress and questioned whether he was aware it was a crime to do so. Paul cited Fauci’s testimony earlier this year when he claimed there was no known association between the release of COVID-19 into the human population and an NIH grant for a non-profit group linked to the Wuhan lab.

“We’re saying they are gain of function viruses because they were animal viruses that became more transmissible in human and you funded it,” he asserted. “You won’t admit the truth.”

Fauci responded by saying, “you are implying that what we did was responsible for the deaths of individuals. I totally resent that and if anyone is lying here, it’s you.”

The senator went on to add Fauci will be held accountable for funding the Wuhan lab and lying about it.

In other words, Fauci knew exactly what was going on at the lab but funded it anyway.

Sen. Rand Paul said he will send a letter to the Department of Justice asking for a criminal investigation of Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“I will be sending a letter to Department of Justice asking for a criminal referral because he has lied to Congress. We have scientists that were lined up by the dozens to say that the research he was funding was gain-of-function,” the Kentucky Republican told Sean Hannity of Fauci on Tuesday evening’s “Hannity” program.

“He’s doing this because he has a self interest to cover his tracks and to cover his connection to Wuhan lab,” Paul continued.

Paul’s interview comes after he and Fauci had another heated exchange during a Senate hearing Tuesday when the two traded accusations of “lying” over gain-of-function research at a Wuhan lab floated as the origin of the coronavirus.

The NIH and NIAID have said they supported grants to research viruses in bats but never funded gain-of-function research of coronaviruses and transmissibility for humans.

“Dr. Fauci, knowing that it is a crime to lie to Congress, do you wish to retract your statement of May 11, where you claimed that the NIH never funded gains-of-function research in Wuhan?” Paul asked the NIAID director at one point in the hearing. The comment came after he cited a paper on research about bat coronaviruses, and quoting Dr. Richard Ebright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers University, that the “research matches, indeed epitomizes the definition of gain-of-function research.”

When Paul grilled him over this, Fauci lost his shit.

Fauci knew the lab was engaged in dangerous genetic modification of the COVID virus for gain-of-function, but was motivated by power and greed. A trove of emails was released showing that he was warned that COVID 19 was engineered in a ChiCom lab, which he repeatedly denied.  The emails show that he and his cronies launched a campaign to cover it up.

Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases also spent over $400,000 on Frankenstein experiments grafting aborted fetal scalps onto mice and rats. He also made the fatuous claim that HIV/AIDS would explode in the heterosexual population.

He’s incompetent, a liar, and a tool for the ChiComs. He helped them unleash a bioweapon.

Add perjury to the list of his crimes. He should be in prison.
