Civil rights attorney Leo Terrell pounded the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Friday for playing the “race card” with Mount Rushmore and equating the iconic monument to “white supremacy.”
“I am embarrassed to be a Democrat tonight,” he told Fox News’ “Hannity.”
The DNC tweeted Monday, “Trump has disrespected Native communities time and again. He’s attempted to limit their voting rights and blocked critical pandemic relief. Now he’s holding a rally glorifying white supremacy at Mount Rushmore, a region once sacred to tribal communities.”
“[Mount Rushmore] is a great place for the president to celebrate our nation’s birthday,” Terrell told guest host Jason Chaffetz as President Donald Trump prepared to deliver a speech in front of the venerated South Dakota sculpture.
“That tweet — I want people to hear this,” Terrell continued, “The Democratic Party calling this a ‘white supremacy’ meeting is the race card at its highest level and that came from the Democratic Party.”
“The bottom line is simply this,” he said, “If you are a Democrat, you can be a racist. But the point here is, you accuse the Republicans of being racist and there is no evidence of that whatsoever. It’s embarrassing and I am embarrassed to be a Democrat tonight.”
Mr, Terrell has some catching up to do. The Dems have been an embarrassment for a while.
They spew misogynist hatred toward female conservatives, fling racial slurs at black Republicans and Hispanic Republicans for refusing to be exploited, and leaving the Dem plantation. They especially hate white Republican/Tea Party members and hurl psychotic death threats at them for good measure.
For decades minorities have served as pawns for the DemProgs. They go along with their race-baiting, victimology, the bigotry of low expectations, and racism against whites and their own people for not towing the Party line.
The Left engages in some of the worst hate speech, violence, and threats on record.
They like keeping minorities on the Democratic Party plantation. It gives them a demographic to exploit while mouthing platitudes about evil rich (white) corporate owners versus the workers. The myth of the Left being for the working class and poor has been wrung for all it’s worth. It’s part and parcel of a party that uses exploitation as a campaign pitch for a target audience; an easily manipulated monolithic voting bloc that is all too willing to participate. As a matter of fact, the Dems readily admit that throwing the race card is simply a tactic for political gain.
No abhorrent behavior, corruption, or crime, is too awkward for the Dems.
Terrell should have been embarrassed a long time ago.
