DC U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves is making clear that the DOJ is now going to target Americans who were around the Capitol on J6 but did not enter the building.
But they can’t get the Antifa and BLM thugs who burned down government buildings, destroyed entire neighborhoods and local businesses, looted, attacked, and murdered people.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Matthew Graves, suggested that law enforcement will soon target those who just stood outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
During a press conference this week, Graves hinted that Americans who didn’t even go inside the Capitol building on Jan. 6 could still lead to thousands of arrests.
“An important note when it comes to our prosecutions about those who remained outside the building. We have used our prosecutorial discretion to primarily focus on those who entered the building or those who engaged in violent or corrupt conduct on Capitol grounds,” Graves said. “But if a person knowingly entered the restricted area without authorization, they had already committed a federal crime. Make no mistake, thousands of people occupied an area that they were not authorized to be present in in the first place.”
The D.C. district attorney has already charged more than 1,400 Americans with crimes relating to the protests on Jan. 6. He has also handed down more than 900 convictions, with almost all having prison sentences.
On the contrary, Graves admitted that a significant portion of the 2020 George Floyd rioters were not charged at all despite causing destruction and setting cities on fire.
A Left-wing rioter bragged about receiving a $24,000 check for his role in the “George Floyd rebellion.”
“The City of New York has paid me and 300+ others $24k each, for beating us & detaining us w our rights in the Bronx, during the 2020 George Floyd rebellion,” the man wrote.
The radical Leftist also referred to New York City Mayor Eric Adams as a “Zionist pi,” vowing to donate his hefty check to Palestine.
In other words, protest against government corruption and you’ll get persecuted, but as long as the ruling Dems agree with the riot, you’ll get compensated for being arrested.
Graves is one of the Biden regime flunkies who refused to bring charges against Hunter Biden.
Biden’s hand-picked federal prosecutor in DC confirmed to Congress last week that he wouldn’t partner with his Delaware counterpart to bring tax charges against first son Hunter Biden — arguing such cooperation rarely happens because “there is no way” to “get up to speed on everything.”
Matthew Graves made the excuse to the House Judiciary Committee in an Oct. 3 deposition that broadly confirmed the claims of two IRS whistleblowers who said in dramatic public testimony this summer that Biden appointees in the Justice Department nearly scuttled charges against the president’s child.
Garland says they don’t prosecute Antifa attacks because they frequently occur at night:
“Those who are attacking the pregnancy resource centers … are doing this at night in the dark. These people who are doing it are clever and are doing it in secret.”
So why even bother to investigate and hunt them down? It’s too dark and scary.
This cretin is the US Attorney General. Let that sink in.
Government agencies have been politized and weaponized against American citizens who stand up to the tyranny of the Dem ruling class.
The FBI and the DOJ need to be dismantled from the top down. The criminal malfeasants in both agencies should be indicted and prosecuted. We know that won’t happen because agencies weaponized by Dem regimes trample all over the Constitution while Congress does nothing. All the hot air and indignation during oversight hearings are a dog and pony show.
