Rep. Jim Jordan, whose investigative work exposed the shortcomings in the Russia collusion probe, said he would like to see greater intensity from FBI Director Christopher Wray in fixing the widespread misconduct and noncompliance uncovered inside the bureau.
Jordan, R-Ohio, also said he supports making the process for obtaining Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants to spy on Americans more “adversarial,” perhaps by having a legal advocate protect the civil liberties of individuals unwittingly being targeted by the FBI.
“I would like a more robust process and something that is much closer to an adversarial relationship in that court, because that’s how it works in our other courts,” Jordan told Just the News in an interview this week. “And that’s one of the hallmarks and what makes our system the best system ever.”
In a wide-ranging interview with the John Solomon Reports podcast. Jordan also addressed concerns about Wray’s leadership of the FBI after a string of Justice Department inspector general reports exposed widespread misconduct and noncompliance inside the bureau. The FBI was “screwing it up left and right,” he said.
Those reports by watchdog Michael Horowitz found evidence of falsifying evidence, and submitting inaccurate and unverified evidence to the FISA court in the Russia probe and failing to properly vet informants like Christopher Steele across the bureau.
The most recent alarm sounded Tuesday when the IG revealed that a review of 29 FISA warrant applications over the last five years found all had errors, and unverified information that violated the bureau’s Wood Procedures for ensuring courts aren’t misled and Americans civil liberties aren’t trampled.

The FISA court gave Obama permission to wiretap Trump in October under the guise of national security. Obama did that in case Trump was elected, so he could use whatever eavesdropping he compiled to undermine the Trump administration. He pulled an end-around and basically lied to FISA in order to get the permission to wiretap. Mary Anna Marsh, principal of the Dewey Square Group, a Democrat PR firm, stated quite clearly that the Obama regime had been snooping on Trump since 2015, and it was widely known.
Here’s what should be investigated:
The Russians gave $35 million to a company with John Podesta on the board.
A fake dossier paid for by one political party and its candidate was used by the government to spy on that candidate’s opponent.
The Obama regime’s FISA abuse in order to get permission to wiretap Trump.
James Comey, who is an unscrupulous douchebag, was part and parcel of the conspiracy to undermine the election through false allegations and sedition. He also leaked classified information when it suited his purpose and lied to the FISA court.
Former CIA director John Brennan, colluded with British and Estonian spies to undermine the election.
The leftwing Deep State really didn’t believe Trump would win the election. As an ‘insurance policy‘ during the campaign, the FBI, James Comey, the Hillary campaign, a reprobate former MI6 agent, and the Obama regime all had a hand in producing and paying for a lurid, fabricated dossier which was then used to secure a warrant from the FISA court under fraudulent claims, to spy on the Trump campaign.
Bottom line: The investigation was a conspiracy to oust a duly elected President on baseless grounds.
Wray is just as much of a swamp corruptocrat as his predecessors. Unless an ethical, no-nonsense, principled director is ever appointed as FBI director, this will never change.
