Comey Indicted for False Statements and Obstruction of Justice

James Comey has been indicted on two counts by a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia – false statements and obstruction of justice.

“Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted on two of three counts sought by prosecutors — one count of making false statements and one count of obstruction of justice — just days after President Donald Trump issued a public demand for his Justice Department to act “now” to bring prosecutions against Comey and other political foes, according to sources,” ABC News reported.

The Justice Department released a statement on Comey’s indictment:

“Lindsey Halligan, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, announced today that a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging former FBI Director James Comey with making a false statement and obstruction relating to his oral testimony before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Sept. 30, 2020. The charges as alleged in this case represent a breach of the public trust at an extraordinary level,” said U.S. Attorney Halligan. “The balance of power is a bedrock principal of our democracy, and it relies upon accountability and a forthright presentation of facts from executive leadership to congressional oversight. Any intent to avoid, evade, prevent, or obstruct compliance is a violation of professional responsibility and, most importantly, the law.”

“If convicted, Comey faces up to five years in prison. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.”

It feels as if our pals on the Left and in the Democratic Party desperately need a mirror or two as they complain, whine, cry, and accuse Trump of prosecuting his political foes because, wow. There’s no way they don’t know what their own party has been doing for a decade, right?

James Comey, who is an unscrupulous douchebag, was part and parcel of the conspiracy to undermine the election through false allegations and sedition. He also leaked classified information, including to the New York Times, when it suited his purpose, and lied to the FISA court.

He conveniently ‘forgot’ to tell President Trump that the Dems paid for the fake dossier.

He lied about spying on Trump Tower.

He covered up for Hillary’s crimes.

Comey’s crimes are well documented and prosecution is long overdue.

The Dem cabal started persecuting Donald Trump the day he came down the escalator at Trump Towers and declared his candidacy.

There’s a two-tiered system of justice in America; The Dem criminal conglomerate continues to use their positions to abuse power and commit crimes. When squalling she-ass Nancy Pelosi declares “No one is above the law”, it flies in the face of reality. If it were true, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Joe and Hunter Biden, B. Hussein Obama, Eric Holder, Nancy Pelosi, James Comey, and James Clapper, would have been indicted, convicted, and jailed.
